The document discusses several common myths about shaving and provides facts to debunk them. It states that shaving does not make hair grow back coarser, thicker, or darker as an individual's genetics determine hair growth. While shaving does not cause hair to grow in new places, pre-shave products can make the process easier for some. It also recommends using a non-alcohol based aftershave and advises that applying too much pressure when shaving can cause burns or nicks.

Review: Data Driven Traffic Flow Forecasting using MapReduce in Distributed M...AM Publications
from last decade, the use of communication and transportation technology increases in urban traffic
management system. To predict the correct result forecasting technique is used. Furthermore, as more data are
collected, increase in traffic data. In short, traffic flow forecasting system find out collection of historical observations
for records similar to the current conditions and uses these to estimate the future state of the system. In this paper we
focus on data driven traffic flow forecasting system which is based on MapReduce framework for distributed system
with Bayesian network approach. For probability distribution of data between two adjacent node i.e. data used for
forecasting(Input node) and data which is forecasted (output node) used a Gaussian mixture model (GMM) whose
parameters are updated using Expectation Maximization algorithm. Finally focus on model fusion, main problem in
distributed modelling for data storage and processing in traffic flow forecasting system.
Improvement in Traditional Set Partitioning in Hierarchical Trees (SPIHT) Alg...AM Publications
In this paper, an improved SPIHT algorithm based on Huffman coding and discrete wavelet transform for
image compression has been developed. The traditional SPIHT algorithm application is limited in terms of PSNR and
Compression Ratio. The improved SPIHT algorithm gives better performance as compared with traditional SPIHT
algorithm; here we used additional Huffman encoder along with SPIHT encoder. Huffman coding is an entropy
encoding algorithm uses a specific method for choosing the representation for each symbol, resulting in a prefix code.
The input gray scale image is decomposed by 'bior4.4' wavelet and wavelet coefficients are indexed and scanned by
DWT, then applied to encode the coefficient by SPIHT encoder followed by Huffman encoder which gives the
compressed image. At receiver side the decoding process is applied by Huffman decoder followed by SPIHT decoder.
The Reconstructed gray scale image looks similar to the applied gray scale image.
A Novel approach for Document Clustering using Concept ExtractionAM Publications
In this paper we present a novel approach to extract the concept from a document and cluster such set of documents depending on the concept extracted from each of them. We transform the corpus into vector space by using term frequency–inverse document frequency then calculate the cosine distance between each document, followed by clustering them using K means algorithm. We also use multidimensional scaling to reduce the dimensionality within the corpus. It results in the grouping of documents which are most similar to each other with respect to their content and the genre.
The power quality issue will take new dimension due to power system restructuring and shifting trend towards
distributed generation. Huge loss in terms of time and money has made power quality problems a major anxiety for modern
industries with non-linear loads in electrical power system. Power quality consists of a large number of disturbances such
as voltage sags, swells, harmonics, notch, flicker, etc. Power quality problems can be mitigated by many methods but most
appropriate solution to mitigate these problems is FACTS devices. In this paper a brief survey of FACTS devices are
presented which are used to mitigate power quality problems.
Scope and Issues in Alpha Compositing TechnologyAM Publications
Alpha compositing is the process of combining an image with a background to create the appearance of
partial transparency. The combining operation takes advantage of an alpha channel, which basically determines how
much of a source pixel's color information covers a destination pixel's color information. In this documentation, the
authors discuss different types of alpha blending modes which are used to achieve this partial transparency. Alpha
compositing is a process which is used to combine two images and there are the ranges of alpha value which is
multiplied with the source pixel to generate target pixel.). Alpha values also range from 0 to 255, with 0 being
completely transparent (i.e., 0% opaque) and 255 completely opaque (i.e., 100% opaque. Alpha blending is a way of
mixing the colors of two images together to form a final image. In the preset paper the authors tried to give a
comprehensive review on different issues and scope in Alpha Compositing technology. A good example of naturally
occurring alpha blending is a rainbow over a waterfall. The rainbow as one image, and the background waterfall is
another, then the final image can be formed by alpha blending the two together

Hairstyling items have significantly affected the making of different haircuts and patterns from the beginning of time. For the ancient Egyptians, physical appearance was essential to the preserving procedure. Hair was regularly styled to keep up the distinction of the expired. A greasy substance, presently known as hair gel, was utilized to style hair and keep it in place. The 1980s punk development advocated utilizing hair gel to shape spiky haircuts, such as Mohawks.

2. A lot of people are skeptical about shaving
because of the myths associated with it. Let’s look
at some of those and get them busted.
Shaving makes hair to grow coarser, darker and thicker.
It is one of the most popular shaving myths. An individual’s
genetic and hormonal makeup determines hair growth. What a
person feels as thick and coarse are only the initial strands of
hair sprouting out. Sometimes, hair can appear darker because
the hair is shorter and more exposed. As the hair grows longer
it takes its natural colour.
3. Shaving makes hair grow on a previously unshaven area.
This is not true. Hair growth is determined by hormones. Hair
growth patterns keep changing over the course of lifetime. If
shaving made hair to grow, there would be no baldness in the
world.
4. Using pre-shaving products is not necessary.
Pre-shave is just more important to some than others. People
who have dry skin should us an oil, which will help plump up
the skin cells. People with oily skin should use a pre-shave
balm which has tea-tree and eucalyptus oil. Using pre-shave
products makes it easier to shave.
5. You can use anything on your face after shaving.
This is another popular myth that people have. Never use an
alcohol-based after-shave. An aftershave that neutralizes
the skin’s pH is the best for all skin types. In winter, use a
moisturizing after-shave.
6. There’s no difference between using a foam, a gel and a balm
for shaving.
Most of the times there are butane and iso-butane
gases in aerosol forms of shaving products like foams
and gels. Using these products for shaving can make
the skin dry. A non-aerosol balm is the better option.
7. Shaving causes burns and nicks.
Getting a smooth shape is about applying the right amount
of pressure. Applying too much pressure on the blade can
causes shaving burns or nicks.
8. Shaving causes ingrowth.
This is not the case. Ingrowth is caused by the surface
condition of your skin and the natural texture of the
hair. In fact, shaving removes the tiniest strands of
hair from your skin.
9. Did you know shaving dates back to prehistoric
times? Cave paintings and other historical
artifacts tell us that even cave men preferred to
have a stubble free skin though their methods
were a little tougher. For all of us shaving has
become so easy.
The whole experience of shaving is not just
convenient but very time and cost effective, skin
friendly and self-reliant. So why not have get away
from all these myths and start shaving.
10. If you notice anything unusual in
facial or body hair, visit your doctor.
This could be a sign of an underlying
medical condition or a medication side
effect.
