Sharing of Experience at
Questions in my mind before going for FDP
 Why Faculty Development Programme (Just to get a tag or
anything else)
 Whether it will benefit me or not
 Whether it will provide me an edge or not once I come back
 Whether is it going to make the significant difference when
it comes to my way of teaching
 Will it make any difference on my research acumen
 Whether I will be able to show my existence in a group of
forty FDP participants at IIM A
 The big question was shall I be able to deliver in
consonance with the expectations of my stake holders i.e.
whether difference in me shall be noticed by my peers and
my dear students once back to the pavilion

Human Resource development philosophy says
 Competencies among Human resources can be developed
at any stage, level, age
 As such faculty development programme at IIM A has
shown me that philosophy works in academics.
 Because as of now after coming from the programme I
could feel difference in me ……but yes as my peers and
students you are yet to identify the difference in me
…may take time but I am sure
 The focus of IIM A through FDP is to develop overall
competence at academic training and research endeavors
among the participants
FDP at IIMA further focuses on
 It thereafter makes you apt so as to sustain the ever
changing vibrant environment and offer yourself to it as
and when required……
 And you get rewarded not in form of CASH
BUT IN THE FORM OF
KASH
(knowledge, attitude, skills and habits)
Participative Approach to Learning(tools to achieve it includes Small
group exercises, case based studies, Presentations, management
games, role plays and many more)
HOW IIM A Helps in earning of KASH
 They tend to disseminate continual knowledge
(both-ways)
 Everyone in the campus is on toes in shaping your
attitude in the right direction and focus is on
their own attitude as well
 Everyone in the campus is focussing on
augmenting their skills, your skills horizontally,
vertically, diagonally
 By working on KAS…..habits across develop in
right direction in line (as desired)

FDP: Objective Human Resource development philosophy says  Competencies among Human resources can be developed at any stage, level, age  As such faculty development programme at IIM A has shown me that philosophy works in academics.  Because as of now after coming from the programme I could feel difference in me ……but yes as my peers and students you are yet to identify the difference in me …may take time but I am sure  The focus of IIM A through FDP is to develop overall competence at academic training and research endeavors among the participants
