This letter provides a recommendation for Shareef Shaik from his academic advisor Yongwei Shan. Shan worked closely with Shaik as his advisor during his graduate studies and taught him in two classes. Shan describes Shaik as a hardworking, self-disciplined student who worked independently on his creative component project exploring virtual reality design review. Shan also notes that Shaik is a team player and currently volunteers on one of Shan's research projects. Overall, Shan strongly recommends Shaik for any position and believes he will contribute significantly as an employee.
CLIENT: SONIM TECHNOLOGIES
Sonim Technologies is the provider of the world's most rugged, water-submersible mobile phones designed specifically for workers in demanding and hazardous environments. Followings are the two application on which I have worked on.
1) DIRECT MESSAGING APPLICATION
DM module is a standalone accessory which will be connected to the mobile device on top Xpand connector. So in a dead zone, using this device and application user can send messages, audios, and location to other users.
2) SCOUT APPLICATION
Scout means to explore an area to obtain information. Similarly, SCOUT application assists all the applications of the phone and gives information about the phone. It’s a one-stop application for users to access the phone.
For above applications, we started by creating a sitemap of the application to convert it into low fidelity wireframes, high fidelity wireframes, and prototyping. We have used Sketch Software for creating User Interface Design and Iconography. For clickable prototyping and collaborating with developers, we had used Invision software.
The statement of purpose or entrance essay is written while applying for admission to any university. I wrote this SOP while applying for Masters to several universities. It was my general SOP and every university I apply to just have to edit the final last part of it i.e information and motivation for that specific university.
Hope this will help many students

RE: Letter of Recommendation
To Whom It May Concern,
I am delighted to write this letter of recommendation, on behalf of Mr. Shareef Shaik. I
have known Shareef for over a year and a half. During his graduate studies, I was his
academic advisor. He was also one of the graduate students enrolled in both “Building
Information Modeling (BIM) for Construction” and “Project Engineering Management”
taught by me. Based on his exceptional performance, I am confident he will become a
valuable asset to your company.
As Shareef’s academic supervisor, I worked closely with him and guide him through the
graduate Creative Component during the Spring semester in 2016. Shareef is a very
hardworking and self-disciplined student who can work independently with minimum
supervision. On the Creative Component project, he explored the use of a virtual reality
goggle in Autodesk Revit for real-time design review and client presentation. He
designed an architectural model and the landscapes of a mansion in Revit and visualized
in Occulus Rift through the EnscapeTM
plug-in. He demonstrated his complete model at a
college-wide outreach event, Junior Day. His work was well received by many high
school juniors and their parents.
Shareef is also a team player. His teamwork spirit can be evidenced by his excellent
student peer evaluation for his terms projects in both classes taught by me. He is a very
studious student who is keen on acquiring new knowledge and skills. Currently, he is also
serving a volunteer researcher on one of my research projects, titled “Utilizing LiDAR
for Landslide Monitoring on Highways”.
Overall, Shareef would be a perfect candidate for your company. He conducts himself
professionally. Again, I would like to give my full support without any reservation to
recommend this young man to your company. It is my belief that he will contribute
significantly to your company. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact me
through email at yongwei.shan@okstate.edu or telephone at (405) 744-7073.
Sincerely,
Yongwei Shan
