Dear Mr.
We had the opportunity to speak at the Deloitte information session held for the Association for Information Systems (AIS) at Temple University, and I would like to express my interest in becoming a Federal Business Technology Analyst Summer Scholar Intern. Based upon your intern selection criteria, my technological aptitude, my analytical thinking skills, and my leadership abilities make me a perfect fit for this opportunity and your company.
My technological aptitude can be measured through my knowledge of coding languages, my web development experience, and my knowledge of hardware and operating systems. I currently know three coding languages: HTML, C++, and C#, and I am in the process of learning PHP. I also have web-development experience from creating my current e-portfolio and coordinating with the former VP of IT in AIS to create the current AIS website. While at SAP, I learned about the hardware components of IBM, Sun, HP, and Dell servers, and utilized Linux, Unix, and Windows OS. My current technological skills fit well with the requirements of a BTA Summer Scholar Intern.
My analytical thinking skills were put to the test during a functional mailbox, group mailbox, improvement project when I was a business IS intern at Dow Chemical. I was assigned a project to provide recommendations for improvement on the functional mailbox provisioning process. In order to do this I completed in depth analysis of the current system by completing the creation process myself, checking for inconsistencies, and interviewing owners and user ...

Dear Human Resources Professional:
I am a San Jose State University graduate. I received my Bachelor Degree in Civil &
Environmental Engineering on May 22nd 2015. I am a motivated, energetic, and team player
individual looking for opportunity to expand my knowledge and improve my current working
skills.
I am currently working for Rahmani & Associates Inc. structural design firms located in San
Jose. I started working in my current job as a design engineer on August 2015. My tasks include
Auto-Cad drafting, roof design, ceiling design, framing design, shear wall design, foundation
design, shear wall calculations, headers and beams calculations, preparation of final drawings,
responding to plan checker comments, and performing site inspections. My current position gave
me the opportunity to improve my design skills, and work with a team of engineers in a
professional environment. I also developed a general understanding of the structural design
process and learned using Enercalc Software. Interacting with coworkers and contractors is a part
of my daily routine. My experience working with people has been positive and enjoyable.
Throughout my education period at San Jose State University I regularly wrote reports, memos,
letters, performed researches, and gave presentations. I extensively used various Microsoft
applications such as: Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. My writings and oral presentations where
developed to communicate with a variety of audiences. Written and oral communications with
professionals, students, and professors is a part of my daily activities.
I think that I am a good fit for this position because I have work experience in the engineering
field. I also work well independently as well as with a team. I worked in many group projects
during my undergrad courses and my experience was positive. Additionally I am a detail-
oriented person with excellent interpersonal skills.
