Re: Letter of Recommendation for Miss Thao Nguyen
Dear Sir/Madam:
I wish to recommend Miss Thao Nguyen for your consideration of a position in sales and
marketing management at your great organization.
I have known Thao since January 2013 when she took my graduate-level Human Resource
Management course at the International School of Business, University of Economics Ho Chi
Minh City (ISB-UEH).
My first impression is that Thao is a very nice student who seems to be very serious about her
education. She possesses great analytical and conceptual skills and is a fast learner. She actively
participated in the class discussion and did not hesitate to challenge others’ ideas and opinions.
With her extensive sales and customer service experience obtained while she worked as Personal
Financial Consultant (PFC) in the Credit Department at Asia Commercial Bank (ACB) and as
Program Director – Bachelor of Business Administration at the Center for Business and
Development Management (BDM), she brought in interesting viewpoints which made the class
discussion more enjoyable and improved student’s learning.
One of Miss Nguyen’s strengths is that she can get the attention of anyone standing in front of
her very quickly and naturally. Her interpersonal and communication skills are amazing. She is
highly energetic, agile and action-oriented. These qualifications were evident throughout the
entire course period.
Miss Nguyen has a strong work ethics. She always went above and beyond my requirements to
deliver her best performance, both on individual assignments and the team project. Her
leadership skills were evident throughout the course of the team project. Miss Nguyen is highly
capable of working independently as well as in team setting. This capability, I believe, will help
her perform well in sales and marketing management positions. In addition, Miss Nguyen holds a
high standard of personal integrity and honesty. Her philosophy is to behave in an honest, fair,
and ethical manner. Consistency in her words and actions seems to be what Miss Nguyen always
showed me in and outside of classroom.
I had the opportunity to meet Thao again while I was teaching at ISB-UEH last June. I am
impressed that she has improved her management skills and problem solving skills significantly
in a short period of time. She was very comfortable and confident in her decision making. In

addition, she seemed to genuinely care about other people’s needs and feelings, which I think is
one of the greatest assets of a successful manager.
As I had many years of experience as a sales manager, I believe that Thao has what it takes to
embark on a career in sales and marketing management. She has the maturity, motivation, skills,
and abilities necessary to be a successful manager. I know she is looking for an organization to
grow with and call her home. Thao has a real thirst for knowledge and an impressive knack for
learning new tasks with ease. She would be a great addition and true asset to your organization.
Obviously, I believe that Miss Thao Nguyen will be an outstanding employee for any
organization that she’s interested in and applies for. She has demonstrated that she has both the
ability and the motivation to be the top performer. I highly recommend Miss Thao Nguyen to
you.
Should you require further information, please feel free to contact me.
Sincerely,
Dr. Lam D. Nguyen
