Recommendation Letter from Zuruzi Abu Samah

To Whom It May Concern,
Dear Sir or Madam,
Recommendation Letter: Mr Mohamed Ruzaiman Bin Haji Awang Julaihi
(Universiti Teknologi Brunei)
It gives me great pleasure to write this letter on behalf of Mr Mohamed Ruzaiman
Bin Haji Awang Julaihi. Mr Mohamed Ruzaiman completed his studies at Universiti
Teknologi Brunei (UTB) where he majored in Mechanical Engineering. I have known
Ruzaiman as an instructor when I taught him a few modules and also as a
supervisor for his Final Year Project (FYP). In my capacity as his supervisor for the
FYP, I meet him about once a week to discuss the progression of the project.
From the close interactions I have with my Ruzaiman, I found that he is a self-driven
person and full of initiatives. I came know Ruzaiman when he first came to see me
requesting for an FYP project. I was so impressed when he convinced me about his
interest in materials science that I thought of a project just for him. I seldom see a
student who was as passionate and persistent as him. During the FYP, he is able to
design experiments, carry them out and analyse data with minimal supervision. He
consistently updates me about progression and asks for my inputs. He is also frank
about shortcomings he faces and requests help if he is not able to solve a problem
on his own. It is a pleasure working with Ruzaiman.
Personality wise, Ruzaiman is very easy to work with. During the FYP, he works
closely with another student and they got along very well. Ruzaiman is always open
to suggestions and he takes criticism well. He is always respectful to me and has a
very good sense of humor which is important when experiments do not work out as
planned. He persists with his effort and move on until he succeeds.
In summary, Mr Mohamed Ruzaiman Bin Haji Awang Julaihi has my strongest
support and recommendation. I would love if he continues his study with me at the
post-graduate level but he is a talented person who will do well in whatever position
he is in. He will be an asset to your organization.
Sincerely,
Zuruzi Abu Samah, PhD
