1. Typhoon
• Also called as “bagyo” in Filipino
• An extremely large, powerful, and destructive storm
that occurs especially in the region of the Philippines
or the China sea .
• It also occur in the warm northwestern Pacific Ocean.
• Describe as “intense” because it reaches up to 200
kph.

2. Thunderstorm
❖A storm with thunder and lightning.
❖The key factors of thunderstorm are warm air and moisture.
Hazardous effects of thunderstorm:
1.Heavy rain
2.Lightning
3.Air turbulence
4.Fire
3. Flood
• A large amount of water covering an area of land that is
usually dry.
• A rising and overflowing of a body of water especially unto
normally dry land .
4. Flash Flood
• A local flood of short duration generally resulting
from heavy rainfall in the immediate vicinity.
5. Tornado and
Whirlwinds
• A violent and destructive storm in which powerful winds
move around a central point.
• A very strong winds that moves in a spinning motion and
that can damage buildings, trees and etc.
6. Storm Surge
• An abnormal rise of sea waters.
