This document outlines 6 steps for recording a PowerPoint presentation: 1. Open the PowerPoint file and click the red "Record" button to start recording. 2. Click the "click to begin recording" button to start recording and narrate the presentation. 3. Press the escape button and select "stop recording" to finish recording. 4. Click the "save" button to save the Camtasia recording. 5. Choose "Produce your recording" and click "OK" to produce the recording. 6. Follow the instructions and choose options like "Flash output" or "Windows Media Video" to finish producing the recording.

2. Step 1: Open PP File; at the Add-Ins Menu
Click Record (Red Button)

3. Step 2: To start recording, press ‘click
to begin recording’ button

4. Start ‘talking through’
your PP presentation
• Begin by greeting your students (eg. Hi everyone.
How are you? I hope you are ready to today’s lesson)
• Tell them the coverage of this presentation (eg. In
this presentation, I will describe …..)
• ‘Interact’ with your students (eg. Are you following
me so far? So far, we have discussed ….. Let’s move
on exploring ……..

5. Step 3: To stop recording, press your keyboard
‘escape’ button & choose ‘stop recording’

6. Step 4: To save your Camtasia
Recording click the ‘save’ button

7. Step 5: To produce your recording, choose
‘Produce your recording’ option and click ‘OK’

8. Step 6: Follow a series of instruction by
choosing the ‘next’ button

9. Choose either ‘Flash output’ of ‘Windows
Media Video’ & click ‘Next’

10. Click ‘Next’

11. Chose ‘Preset Video Size (640 x 480) &
click ‘Next’

12. Click ‘Next’

13. Click ‘Next’

14. Click ‘Finish’
