Achievement
We showed achievement in its widest sense
We covered a wide range of situations in which
   trainees work with pupils:

• All abilities
• Gender
• Ethnic & Religious groups
• Lessons & extra curricular activities
Starting Point
• Initial visits to each other’s schools to
  set the context.
• Background research-
Managing ITE to improve school outcomes (Craig, Hurd, Jones,
  Dixon)
Does school-based initial teacher training affect secondary school
  performance? (Hurd)

• Formal meetings to share good
  practice.
