    mathematics

    engagement in ITT

   Improving the consistency and quality of mentoring at all levels –
    host teacher, subject mentor, lead mentor, strategic mentor using
    the SBT material with links to recognition through the GTCE Teacher
    Learning Academy

Partnership objectives

   2 day school based experience for undergraduates (mathematics,
    science, engineering, psychology) to increase the number of local
    applications onto mathematics ITT programmes in partner schools

   Mathematics CPD for trainees and teachers planned and led by ASTs,
    Lead Teachers and Wakefield LA mathematics consultant
    - ‘Using group work to enhance mathematics teaching’


   5 module programme of school based training for host teachers and
    mentors to improve consistency and quality of support for trainees
DEVELOPING HIGH QUALITY
          MATHEMATICS TEACHERS

   Collaborative planning, delivery, monitoring and evaluation

   Consistency yet flexibility of approach

   Significant opportunities for CPD and professional recognition

DEVELOPING HIGH QUALITY MATHEMATICS TEACHERS Partnership objectives  2 day school based experience for undergraduates (mathematics, science, engineering, psychology) to increase the number of local applications onto mathematics ITT programmes in partner schools  Mathematics CPD for trainees and teachers planned and led by ASTs, Lead Teachers and Wakefield LA mathematics consultant - ‘Using group work to enhance mathematics teaching’  5 module programme of school based training for host teachers and mentors to improve consistency and quality of support for trainees
