Boron is an element that can be used in cancer treatment through Boron Neutron Capture Therapy (BNCT). BNCT involves concentrating a stable isotope of boron, boron-10, in tumor cells using tumor-seeking compounds. Then, the boron absorbs neutrons in a way that produces radiation that destroys the tumor cells without damaging normal tissues. BNCT has advantages over other radiation therapies in that it allows for less damage to the rest of the body, increasing chances of survival for cancer patients.

2. INTRODUCTION
Boron is very hard colourless crystalline
matalloid element that exist as brown amorphous
powder and occur principally as borax . There
are various ways of treating cancer, boron as
(BNCT) boron neutron capture therapy is used to
treat cancer because of its ability to absorbed
neutron were all tumor cells were selectively
destroyed without damaging normal tissues.

4. APPLICATION OF BORON TO CANCER
TREATMENT
.One of the uses of boron is in a
treatment of cancer.
.BNCT is basis of boron capture therapy
for cancer treatment.
.The first components that is a stable
isotope of boron (boron-10) that can be
concentrated in tumor cells by attaching
it to tumor seeking compounds.

There are two key advantages to the use
of BNCT which make it particularly
effective in the treatment of tumors.
.Firstly, the reaction on which BCNT
produces various types of radiation.
.Secondly, another key strength of BCNT,
and what has made it the focus of so much
recent research, is that, unlike other
forms of radiation therapy.

Boron is an element that has proved to be effective in
cancer treatment due to its property to absorb the
neutrons.
The therapy that is used against cancer treatment is
known as Boron Neutron CaptureTherapy.
What is cancer
Cancer is caused by the rapidly dividing abnormal cells
that have the potential to reproduce themselves faster
than the normal cells.
These rapidly dividing cells form tumors, crowd organs
and shut down some organ function.

In conclusion boron is an element with
various functions and most importantly in
cancer treatment due to it ability to
absorbed neutrons. This development will
able to provide cancer patient with a
treatment option that allows provides
less damage to the rest of their bodies,
thus increasing chances of survival.
