The article summarizes the approved budget for the Corning-Painted Post school district, which cuts over 40 positions, closes two elementary schools, and combines junior varsity and varsity sports teams. It leads to annual savings of $2.5 million. The budget also includes a tax levy increase of 5.46% and an estimated average tax rate increase of 2.4%. The article discusses the impact of these changes, including students being transferred to new schools. It also notes that while savings are significant, the budget changes will be difficult for those affected.
LinkedIn is a professional social network that is underutilized by most companies as a communications tool. It generates significantly more business-to-business leads than other social networks like Facebook and Twitter. To fully leverage LinkedIn's potential, companies need to develop a dedicated strategy and community management approach to encourage discussions and increase awareness among target audiences. This includes leveraging employees as ambassadors to share corporate messaging, experiences, and values on LinkedIn. Effective measurement of LinkedIn activities should include metrics like engagement, active membership, and reach, in addition to traditional human resources indicators.
The document discusses the Etruscan civilization that lived in Etruria, Italy between 950-300 BCE. It provides information on Etruscan tombs, pottery, jewelry, and art. Most of what is known about the Etruscans comes from studying their tombs, buildings, and art, as the Etruscans disappeared by the 3rd century BCE but their art continued to influence emerging artists, especially during the Renaissance period.
The document discusses tundra, describing it as a treeless, frozen landscape found in very cold places like Greenland, Sweden, and Alaska. It notes there are two types, Arctic and Alpine tundra, with Arctic tundra being the coldest and most widespread without trees due to its high latitude. Alpine tundra lacks trees due to high elevation. Some animals that live in tundra regions mentioned include musk ox, arctic hare, and arctic fox.
Arctic and Alpine tundra are the two main types of tundra. Arctic tundra is a cold, treeless, low-lying plain found in northern parts of Europe, Asia, Canada and Greenland around the Arctic Ocean. It includes areas like Lapland, Scandinavia, Siberia and most of Greenland.
Mark Jarrell presented on building a mobile Drupal site for Austin Peay State University. He discussed evaluating different methods for developing a mobile site, choosing to use a separate mobile URL and redirect users. The process involved designing a theme, upgrading content to Drupal 7, and adding the jQuery Mobile module to optimize the interface for touchscreens. Key elements were lightweight content focused on quick actions, and utilizing HTML5 and jQuery Mobile features to improve the mobile experience.
This document discusses theming views in Drupal to modify the look and feel of view outputs. It covers building a basic view, using CSS to style view outputs, and working with Views template files to completely change the code around fields. The presenter demonstrates these techniques and provides further reading links on Views theming.

1. Awareness of real-time bidding (RTB) and private ad exchanges is high, but many lack understanding of how they work. This provides an opportunity for education.
2. Advertisers want to spend more through private exchanges, perceiving they offer more control and value than open exchanges. RTB budgets and private exchange use are expected to rise in the next year.
3. While eager for RTB's future, buyers want greater emphasis on quality inventory, brand safety guarantees, and transparency in reporting to increase RTB spending. Publishers worry RTB will devalue inventory and harm relationships. Both seek more control and understanding of RTB.

Alenty measures effective ad exposure for online branding campaigns using a generic Javascript that tracks visibility, exposure duration, and engagement. Traditional metrics like click-through rate are not suitable for branding as most clickers have undesirable profiles and there is no correlation between CTR and branding effects. Alenty's key metrics are visibility duration, exposure duration accounting for screen share, and engagement duration. These provide a more accurate understanding of campaign performance and recall lift than traditional served impression-based metrics.

Library consortia provide valuable opportunities for partnership and resource sharing among member institutions. They allow libraries to purchase a more varied collection at a deeper level and provide professional development for staff through knowledge sharing and training opportunities. However, consortia also present challenges like maintaining institutional autonomy and decision making processes. Careful consideration of costs, technology requirements, and logistical concerns is needed to ensure the rewards of collaboration outweigh the challenges.
The document discusses the two types of tundra: arctic tundra, found in northern regions like Alaska and Canada, and alpine tundra, located in mountainous areas and warmer than arctic tundra. It also notes that permafrost is a layer of frozen soil and that polar bears, caribou, and wolves are three animal species that inhabit the Arctic Tundra.

This document is from Green Local School District Treasurer Eydie Snowberger, presenting information to the school board about state budget myths. It aims to show that the district will lose over $3 million in state and federal funding over the next two years. It also aims to convince voters to pass the district's levy issue on May 3rd, as the budget cuts mean the levy is still needed for the district to remain solvent. The document dispels myths that the district will gain new money or that a new state bill or delaying the levy vote will resolve the budget issues.
The document discusses the costs of not properly funding schools in Green, Ohio. It notes that Green schools currently rank highly but cuts to programs would hurt students' education and prepareness. Not funding schools fully costs individuals money due to reduced home values, increased community college costs, and lost tax revenue from unemployed or low-wage individuals. Studies show underfunded schools cost the US economy $319 billion in lost wages and $63 billion in lost tax revenue annually.
Program Reductions Green Local Schools - March 2011 BOE MeetingGreen For Kids
The document summarizes changes to Green Local School District's grade configurations and transportation policies if a levy failure occurs. It outlines that 3rd grade will move to Green Primary School with 1st-3rd grades, and 4th grade will move to Green Intermediate School with 4th-6th grades. Bus transportation would be limited to cluster stops within 1/2 mile for K-8 and up to 2 miles for 9-12. The district would lose over 100 positions, including teachers, and would cut art, music, world languages, electives and increase class sizes significantly if the levy fails.
The document shows expenditures and revenues per pupil for the top 23 school districts in Ohio in 2009. Orange had the highest expenditures per pupil at $19,917 and revenues per pupil at $20,914. On average, expenditures per pupil were $11,245 while revenues averaged $11,278. Minster Local had the lowest expenditures and revenues per pupil at $9,119 and $9,608 respectively.

The School Board is required by Law to present a
balanced budget to the Ohio Department of
Education.
The Administration and Board anticipated a 25%
cut in State funding. We now know that Governor
Kasich s budget cuts our State funding by 27%.
Issue 8, a five year Emergency Operating Levy for
$4.8 million annually, or 6.75 mills has been placed
on the May 3rd 2011 Primary/Special Election. Since
the 25% projection is very close to the 27% reality
this Levy will meet our Schools needs.

Even with passage of the Levy some actions will
occur. Kleckner will close, a pay to participate fee
will be enacted and there will be a 22 teacher
reduction in force.
If the Levy fails an additional 55 teachers and a total
of 104 employees will be let go. Educational
offerings and bussing will be reduced to the state
minimum, and pay to participate fees will be
increased significantly.

Funding Growth Vs. Demand Growth
As the population grows,
the demand for
the schools
grows
The Glass Represents Instead, the
the City of Green glass is flared

The depth of the
