For my first episode, it will be about my first visit at my cooperating school and
explain my Teacher Education institution, DAVAO DEL NORTE STATE COLLEGE, and my
cooperating school, SAN VICENTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL. This will allow me to
familiarize myself with the facilities of the school and carry out the procedures, policies,
and guidelines of the cooperating school and the teachers.
To get to know my cooperating school better, I must do the following tasks:
 Visit at the cooperating school
 School tour of facilities and resources
 Discussions of tasks and expectations from my cooperating teacher, and
cooperating school
 Orientation with the policies of the school
1. In here, I am going to present my cooperating School with but not limited to the
following information.
a. Description
San Vicente National High School
As we walked through San Vicente National High School, we noticed
the principal's office on the left side of the building. The principal must have
leadership skills, be accountable, see potential and creative value in fellow
teachers, peers, and students, and encourage them to pursue higher education
by focusing on goal setting and daily objectives that benefit the entire
community, family, and individual. In our world, the principal assists in the
development of leaders. They have a guidance counselor who will help learners
shape their behavior and teach discipline while also providing remedies to their
psychological issues. After that, students with stomachaches or injuries will be
treated in the clinic room or health facility. They have a TLE room that caters
to the pupils' diverse needs during homeroom activities. Its goal is to provide
students with the necessary tools and equipment to supplement their knowledge
and skills in areas such as cooking, carpentry, gardening, sewing, painting, and
other similar activities. Students have a computer lab where they can go if they
need to look anything up or search in Google Chrome to complete their assigned
tasks. They have an AVR, which they utilize to watch movies or video
presentations for additional learning. They offer a reading center that is meant
to give learners the tools they need to work independently and achieve their life
goals. They do, in fact, have a lot of room and facilities to help their students
stay on track.
San Vicente National High School is a government-funded public high
school that is open to all students. The goal of this public school education is to
build a balanced set of skills in students that will enable them to become
economically productive, develop sustainable lives, contribute to peaceful and
democratic societies, and improve individual well-being. Furthermore, the
guards are really strict, making me feel safe. The restrooms are clean and
suitable in size, the surrounding area is relaxing for students and teachers, and
services are offered by knowledgeable and friendly teaching personnel. Indeed,
it is a great opportunity for all learners to learn here because it provides
complete facilities and competent teachers.
b. History
Facts about San Vicente National High School
The call to serve Barangay San Vicente and its neighboring barangays
reverberated since the early '70s when most of the residents had hike several
kilometers to the poblacion to seek high school education. Finally, on June 20,
2005 with just the Barangay Gym as its first home for the One Hundred
Seventy-Three(173) first year students and three teachers, San Vicente National
High School-Panabo National High School Annex came into existence.
On August 28, 2008, it was separated from its mother school. To this
day, the school awaits the enactment of the law for its establishment as San
Vicente National High School.

2. Based on the orientation activity conducted by the college and the cooperating
school, I shall complete the responsibility matrix given below. I will only choose
two (2) expectations from the Teacher Education Institution’s / Cooperating
School’s expectations and write your responsibilities. I will also write my
responsibilities on how to meet the expectations.
Teacher Education Institution: DAVAO DEL NORTE STATE COLLEGE
Expectations My Responsibilities
Be a good teacher I shouldbe a rolemodel forthe students,
showing good manners, habits, and
behavior, and projecting the best
possible image to the students all over
the world.
Extend Assistance anytime I should be willing to offer support, even
if I'm not asked. I will lend a helping
hand even if the collaborating teacher
does not request it. I will make myself
available to people who require
assistance andwill beappreciative ofthe
assistance they have provided.
Cooperating School: SAN VICENTE NATIONAL HIGH SCHOOL
Expectations My Responsibilities
Fulfill Instructional Responsibilities I should provide comprehensive,
concise lesson plans and PowerPoint
presentations, as well as comply with all
reasonable demands from my
Cooperating Teacher, learn more about
my student, and maintain an ethical
interpersonal relationship with both my
cooperating teacher and my student.
Comfort myself as professional Act professionally in my actions, words,
and appearance, and identify and act in
accordance with my new status as a
teacher rather than a peer to my
students.
3. How did I feel when I saw my practicum site? What are my apprehensions?
Complete the facial expression and explain why you feel this way.
To be honest, I felt delighted and excited at first, but as I walked forward
and observed around me, I became apprehensive and weary. I was assigned to
Grade 8, which I did not expect and believe I am incapable of performing. Also, the
teachers’ feedback that they are knowledgeable, perfectionists, and impolite made
me even more concerned. I felt troubled. In my mind, I had a lot of what-if
scenarios. What if I don’t do well? What if they are disappointed with my
performance? What if I don’t meet their expectations? What if my learners don’t
learn from me? “ I wanted to back out, but something pushed me to keep going and
finish what had been started. I want to prove to them that I am capable of doing the
duty they have assigned to me.
MY PRACTICE TEACHING KIT
After our orientation session, with the administrator(s), cooperating principal,
college supervisor, cooperating teachers, together with my co-preservice teachers, I need
to equip myself with the PT Kit (Practice Teaching Kit) to better prepare myself in this
wonderful world of teaching. What tools I need to bring in my teaching internship in terms
of Knowledge, Attitude, Skills, and Habits (KASH)?
KNOWLEDGE
I must be sufficiently knowledgeable about the
topics to be discussed in order to give correct
information. It is critical to avoid giving learners
incorrect information in order to avoid
misunderstandings.
ATTITUDE
I need limitless patience and a broad understanding
of the learners in order to figure out what I need to
do. My students can learn from me since I can teach
them well. As a result, these attitudes are important
in the sense that it is my job as a pre-service teacher
to handle and instruct learners with various character
qualities.
SKILLS
I should have the skills needed to establish a positive
learning atmosphere that promotes my learners'
growth. I also ensure that my students' diverse
learning styles and intelligences may be addressed
by diversifying the approaches and strategies used.
HABITS
I need to make each activity satisfying and
meaningful to me. To do so, I must first consider
what method will capture their attention and be
devoid of mannerisms so that the students'
concentration is not disrupted, perhaps diminishing
their interest in my lecture.
a. Pre-Deployment Series of Orientations
One of the most significant components of every teacher's
education curriculum is pre-deployment orientation, which prepares
student-teachers to become qualified instructors in the future. It used to
refer to any organized activity aimed at enhancing or increasing
In this section, I am going to narrate my experience on the following:
a. Pre-Deployment Series of Orientations
b. Orientation Sessions with the Cooperating School
(Make sure to append photo documentations of your narrative)
knowledge and talents before attending your assigned school, in order
to help you be more adaptable as a Pre-Service Teacher.
Also, as the Pre-Service series of orientation goes through, I've
learned that I should think about the teaching and learning process as if
I were a pre-service teacher. I would feel that there are certain abilities
that are necessary for teaching with a value orientation and that should
be emphasized.
Lastly, a teacher who is considered professionally competent
must demonstrate that they can successfully teach; that they can
organize, monitor, and evaluate learning effectively; and that they can
manage teaching curriculums according to the needs of individuals and
groups in the classroom.
b. Orientation sessions with the cooperating School
Orientation sessions with cooperating schools are held because
we, as student teachers, need to know what to do and how to accomplish
things both inside and outside of the cooperating school. It is necessary
for us to be informed about the school's policies, students' behavior, and
the role thatwe should play. As a result, we will be more equipped toface
and overcome challenges that may arise along the path. On the one
hand, I was delighted to be able to finally put the lesson we had prepared
into practice and experience a real-life teaching situation.
Also, I'm concerned since I'm not sure whether I can articulate my
thoughtsclearly, particularlyinmathematics.My concerns includebeing
unable to explain, expound on ideas, and use appropriate strategies in
specific situations or problems. I am confident that I can succeed! I
believe that with the aid of my pre-service teacher, professors, students,
mentors, and, of course, the heavenly father who provides everything, I
can complete the tasks set for us.
I was worried. I had a lot of what-if possibilities in my mind. What if I'm
not effective? What if they're notsatisfied with my performance? What happens
if I fallshort of their expectations? Whatif my studentsrefuse to learnfrom me?
What if I'm not what they're looking for? What if they come to regret my
engagement at their school? What ifs occur I wanted to quit, but something
forced me to continue and accomplish what I had started.
I want to show them that I am capable of carrying out the task they have
given me. Even yet, I'mnot sure whether I'mtruly ready toteach because Iknow
I'm not an expert in my field of specialization as of now. Despite being
competent with my professors and having trained me well, I still have a lot to
learn, especially in my major of mathematics. I have faith in their knowledge
My “What Ifs” at School Site
(This a suggested title, but not limited to your creativity.)
and expertise, but not in mine. Given that I'm finally at the crucial phase of my
course, I'm not going to be a coward any more. I shall continue on my chosen
path and conquer whatever obstacles that may emerge. In order to teach
efficiently and effectively, I will do my best and persevere even more. You can
be proud that someone is studying and doing more to make you proud. Yes, I
may not be ready to teach right now,but Iam confidentthatthis experience will
be beneficial when I am in the field.
This is my first step toward bettering society; I know my parents are
proud of me for what I have now; I know my friends and classmates are always
encouraging; and Iknow the almighty father willalways be my guide, shepherd,
redeemer, savior, and great teacher.
My Proofs of Learning

This will be a memorable first day as a pre-service teacher at our
cooperating school. Our adrenaline will rise and our hearts will race as a result
of our excitement and worried apprehension. It's the start of an incredible
experience that will make an unforgettable impression on the world. It will
motivate us to pursue our goals and have a different impact on our lives.
Our values are formed early in life. Our perceptions, knowledge, and
temperament change over time, which makes my first ever teaching practice
lesson on my students both nervous and exciting. I did what I'm sure many pre-
service teachers do: I thoroughly prepared my possible ideas and techniques
for my beloved student. Before the day arrived, I spent more time organizing
things and gathering resources to ensure that I was prepared to handle the
work at hand. If I had any advice for anyone, it would be to make certain that
you have done everything possible to make everyone proud of you. Your talents
will grow with time, and you will get better at what you do. My colleagues gave
me some advice on my first day, as we shared our personal experiences to
motivate each other. And I pledge to myself that I will never forget it.
Indeed, before my first day, I was terrified, but towards the end, I was
elated. I'd given a few courses, met a few new coworkers, and begun the daily
task of removing my pigeon hole. I'd figured out how to get around the campus,
identify rooms, and recall some names. I'd even considered bringing in some
snacks to share with everyone, particularly my cooperating teacher, who had
been so accommodating during my internship. The road to becoming a pre-
service teacher is long, and completing it is a great accomplishment. One of the
best and most gratifying occupations is teaching. It's a lot of effort, so it's
important to set aside time for yourself. Most importantly, make sure you have
fun during your internship.
