- 3. Basic Theme The basic theme for solving this major problem of our society is that, we are developing an application for smart phones which is GPS based, having databases/ records of the cases or illegal activities happened in a particular area against women or which violates women safety.
- 4. Case Study Basically, what happens??? When a girl comes out from her home for their colleges, offices etc. and many more other activity. She doesn’t know which route to prefer for her navigation or which route will be safe for them. And unknowingly they go on the unsafe and the evil happens. Our application will be able to solve this navigation problem and in case if evil happens in the trusted area, it will act as an alarming or informing system.
- 6. Working The working of the application will be divided into two modules- 1. GPS Secured Route 2. Alarming/Informing System
- 7. GPS Secured Routes First of all, we will gather information from police records and other local people(because many of the cases are not registered), and provide a module to the application that will find a secured route for the navigation of women(the route having low crime rate). This will be the modified form of Google map in the application having secured module which will help women to find a secured route for themselves.
- 8. In case of failure If in case, this module fails then alarming system will be in action, then the victim will just have to press alarming button which have certain modules having many functions. Because crime is uncertain, it may occur anywhere anytime so we have to be prepared with an option with us.
- 9. Alarming/Informing System Alarming/Informing System GPS Location Voice Recording Registered Mobile Numbers
- 10. Alarming/Informing System Alarming system will possess registering the mobile number module, it will be the numbers of whom the victim want to contact at the time of evil happening. The only thing victim have to do is to press the button and automatically the GPS location of the victim and the voice of the victim i.e. what she want to tell will be send in the form of MMS to the registered mobile numbers. And the victim will be secured.
- 11. Innovativeness This solution is innovative as it is totally based on new ideas of modified GPS and alarming together. Hence, it is in two step, so, if one module fails another module will be able to secure.
- 12. Implementation We will firstly upload this application on the play stores, as today, the use of smart phone is common to all. And will make a web site which will possess databases and will be connected to the google map navigation system. And the site will be connected to the government officials so that they can get information regarding the evil happening and will take a suitable action in that particular area.
- 13. Sustainability The solution is sustainable as its failure is rare, if in case one module fails other module will be in action. This application will be best for women safety in future, after its implementation.
- 14. Financial And Revenue Strategies First of all, we will upload this application on the play store at the charges offered by play store. And then buy a domain for our web site(in case .gov is not provided by the Indian government). Revenue strategy will be, as we will provide this application for free for some trial days, and will take adsense on it for revenue, then we will launch a paid modified application which will possess some normal charge.
- 15. Monitoring And Challenges The application will be connected to the website for record maintenance and will be monitored by the admin and access will be given to the government officials. The major challenges to this idea will be only network as if network fails their will be loss of connectivity.
