The use of bus for transport reduces private vehicle usage and thus reduces fuel consumption. It also curbs traffic congestion. The user usually wants to know the accurate arrival time of the bus. Long time waiting at the bus stops discourage the use of buses. Also many unpredictable factors delay the schedule of a bus like harsh weather situation, traffic conditions etc. Towards this aim of reducing this problem, we are proposing a project which will assist the bus travellers in predicting bus timings. The system described uses DriverSideApp, ClientSideApp and a server.
In this project, we propose an innovative method for predicting the bus information. No specific device is required for this purpose. Our sole objective is to build a application that will help student to access the current location of the bus. Moving forward our application focus on to providing them more convenience with bus schedules, bus location information so that they may not get delayed. . Further, the recent advent and popularity of Android technology motivates us to create an Android application for the same.

With an everyday increase in the number of cars on our roads and highways, we are facing numerous problems, for example:
• Smuggling of cars
• Invalid license plates
• Identification of stolen cars
• Usage of cars in terrorist attacks/illegal activities
In order to address the above issues, we took up the project of developing a prototype, which can perform license plate recognition (LPR). This project, as the name signifies, deals with reading, storing and comparing the license plate numbers retrieved from snapshots of cars to ensure safety in the country and ultimately help to reduce unauthorized vehicles access and crime.
License Plate Recognition (LPR) has been a practical technique in the past decades. It is one of the most important applications for Computer Vision, Patter Recognition and Image Processing in the field of Intelligent Transportation Systems (ITS).
Generally, the LPR system is divided into three steps, license plate locating, license plate character segmentation and license plate recognition. This project discusses a complete license plate recognition system with special emphasis on the Localization Module.In this study, the proposed algorithm is based on extraction of plate region using morphological operations and shape detection algorithms. Segmentation of plate made use of horizontal and vertical smearing and line detection algorithms. Lastly, template matching algorithms were used for character recognition.
The implementation of the project was done in the platforms of Matlab and OpenCV.

The development of mobile apps with augmented reality (AR) would enhance the capability in visualizing the scene or environment. Any apps supported by computer aided design versions with 3D models makes the design more realistic, such as in the form of websites or mobile apps. However, the current features for online platforms for shopping are quite limited and lack 3D visualization features. This paper presents the development of a mobile application, pro-visualizer app called PRO-VAS, that utilizes AR for scanning and visualizing the environment. PRO-VAS acts as a product visualizer that applies visual simultaneous localization and mapping (VSLAM) for localization of the product in AR based systems.
The main components of PRO-VAS are ARCore from Google for interactive purposes, and the depth mapping from red green blue depth (RGB-D) phone camera with point plane generator and markerless tracking method. The last component of the app is the set of objects from the unity store, which can be chosen in PRO-VAS for the scanned scene area. The app was tested in various environments involving different objects and has shown competitive results. In the future, more features and products can be added to the apps.

position in emergency situations. The system will be able to send an SMS or an e-mail containing the user’s location coordinates
to the already registered mobile numbers using GCM service. The location information is obtained using GPS

JASMIN is the UK’s high-performance data analysis platform for environmental science, operated by STFC on behalf of the UK Natural Environment Research Council (NERC). In addition to its role in hosting the CEDA Archive (NERC’s long-term repository for climate, atmospheric science & Earth observation data in the UK), JASMIN provides a collaborative platform to a community of around 2,000 scientists in the UK and beyond, providing nearly 400 environmental science projects with working space, compute resources and tools to facilitate their work. High-performance data transfer into and out of JASMIN has always been a key feature, with many scientists bringing model outputs from supercomputers elsewhere in the UK, to analyse against observational or other model data in the CEDA Archive. A growing number of JASMIN users are now realising the benefits of using the Globus service to provide reliable and efficient data movement and other tasks in this and other contexts. Further use cases involve long-distance (intercontinental) transfers to and from JASMIN, and collecting results from a mobile atmospheric radar system, pushing data to JASMIN via a lightweight Globus deployment. We provide details of how Globus fits into our current infrastructure, our experience of the recent migration to GCSv5.4, and of our interest in developing use of the wider ecosystem of Globus services for the benefit of our user community.

To develop a low cost solution for GPS based women tracking
system which can applied to various domains of the industrial
and personal use just by using the very common mean i.e.
mobile with android enabled.
The main objective of the system is to track the current location
of the person who has an android enabled mobile by extracting
the longitude and latitude of the victim.

The main focus of our project is to reduce the overall cost of
tracking based on GPS system which is a satellite based service
which is available 24X7 everywhere in the whole world. GPS
system can be used to get location which includes details like
latitude, longitude and altitude values along with the timestamp
details etc
It track the movement of the person we have used Google Maps

The Application provide an effective way to prevent
suspicious activity against women like eve teasing, rape
and molestation by informing the friends, family and
concerned authorities.
App works on two phases :
In the tracking phase, GPS receiver fetches the GPS
location.
In mapping phase, location details the unique identifier.
