Students often consider homework as pain as they have already spent several hours studying at the college. Homework becomes even more stressful when students are pursuing a part-time job or are supposed to help with chores at home. To escape the situation some students often ask professionals, “take my class” or to “do my homework.”

How to Maintain a 4.0 GPA

Part 1: Having a 4.0 Lifestyle
• Get organized
• Make smart, focused friends
• Make friends who took the class
• Manage your time well
• Go somewhere else to study
• Eat healthily
• Get enough rest
• Stay sane
• Keep up your own motivation
Get organized
Get a binder and notebook for
each subject. When everything is
made easier, it's less of a task to
get your study game face on. Get
rid of old papers or assignments
unless you think you'll refer back to
them. Have your syllabus tucked
away nicely but still easily referable,
and keep a pen in there for good
measure! No clutter -- really any
area you use for studying and
being academic. If it's intimidating
to even dig through, you definitely
won't be sitting down to study.
You'll be spending all your time
looking for some things!
Make smart, focused friends
The more accurate statement would be
"make smart, focused friends 'and
make them to your advantage'." Plenty
of your friends are smart, but when's
the last time you sat down with them
and combined mental powers?
Spend your free time with them, just
watching each other study. Pick up on
their better habits. If you have a class
together, make time once a week or so
to talk about the content, not about
your teacher's accent or that hot girl or
cute guy who sits in front of you.
Sit with them in class, if you weren't
already! When your friends' hands
shoot up to answer questions, you'll be
less inclined to snooze away.
Make friends who took the class
Along with that 4.0 group you
travel with, find someone
who's taken the class already.
Lots of teachers recycle tests,
if the person has kept their old
ones, double score. It's not
cheating at all, it's being logical.
They can also tell you what the
teacher is like and what you
could expect. If you go in
knowing their tendencies and
how they operate, you'll have
that much of a leg up even
before the first class.
Manage your time well
This idea has probably been drilled into you since kindergarten. In order to squeeze
the most out of your day to study, play basketball, practice the violin, eat right, stay
hydrated and sleep (yes, those last three are important), you've gotta rock the time
management skills. But...how?
The most basic thing you can do is to create and follow a schedule. Make sure to give
weight to the stuff that requires a longer amount of time or is more thought intensive.
Having your priorities in order will make that schedule simple to figure out.
Be realistic. Saying you're going to study 8
hours a day isn't feasible. You'll burn out
and then the next day will be spent in bed
with a barrel Blue Bell. What doesn't kill you
makes you stronger, but what does kill you...
kills you.
Don't procrastinate! If you have a paper
that's due in two weeks, start now. If you
have a test coming up, study now. S.
“Life was not to be sitting in hot amorphic leisure in my backyard idly writing or not-writing, as the spirit moved me. It was, instead, running madly, in a crowded schedule, in a squirrel cage of busy people. Working, living, dancing, dreaming, talking, kissing — singing, laughing, learning. The responsibility, the awful responsibility of managing (profitably) 12 hours a day for 10 weeks is rather overwhelming when there is nothing, noone, to insert an exact routine into the large unfenced acres of time — which it is so easy to let drift by in soporific idling and luxurious relaxing. It is like lifting a bell jar off a securely clockwork-like functioning community, and seeing all the little busy people stop, gasp, blow up and float in the inrush, (or rather outrush,) of the rarified scheduled atmosphere — poor little frightened people, flailing impotent arms in the aimless air. That's what it feels like: getting shed of a routine. Even though one had rebelled terribly against it, even then, one feels uncomfortable when jounced out of the repetitive rut. And so with me. What to do? Where to turn? What ties, what roots? as I hang suspended in the strange thin air of back-home?”
Operation “Blue Star” is the only event in the history of Independent India where the state went into war with its own people. Even after about 40 years it is not clear if it was culmination of states anger over people of the region, a political game of power or start of dictatorial chapter in the democratic setup.
The people of Punjab felt alienated from main stream due to denial of their just demands during a long democratic struggle since independence. As it happen all over the word, it led to militant struggle with great loss of lives of military, police and civilian personnel. Killing of Indira Gandhi and massacre of innocent Sikhs in Delhi and other India cities was also associated with this movement.
Embracing GenAI - A Strategic ImperativePeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.
2024.06.01 Introducing a competency framework for languag learning materials ...Sandy Millin
http://sandymillin.wordpress.com/iateflwebinar2024
Published classroom materials form the basis of syllabuses, drive teacher professional development, and have a potentially huge influence on learners, teachers and education systems. All teachers also create their own materials, whether a few sentences on a blackboard, a highly-structured fully-realised online course, or anything in between. Despite this, the knowledge and skills needed to create effective language learning materials are rarely part of teacher training, and are mostly learnt by trial and error.
Knowledge and skills frameworks, generally called competency frameworks, for ELT teachers, trainers and managers have existed for a few years now. However, until I created one for my MA dissertation, there wasn’t one drawing together what we need to know and do to be able to effectively produce language learning materials.
This webinar will introduce you to my framework, highlighting the key competencies I identified from my research. It will also show how anybody involved in language teaching (any language, not just English!), teacher training, managing schools or developing language learning materials can benefit from using the framework.

1. 10 secret study tips
Grow up your tactics in study
Hosted by :
http://timetutors.com
2. At a glance of technique
❏ Organize
❏ keep a schedule
❏ a study goal
❏ read the textbook
❏ Make flash cards
❏ Pomodoro Technique
❏ reward yourself
❏ turn off your computer
❏ be creative
❏ the big picture
3. organize
your study area before you even sit down to study you have to make sure you get
everything you need in one place so you don't have an excuse to stand up and
walk around searching for it don't forget the snacks and water .
4. keep a schedule
Get a large calendar and write down due dates of all your tests exams
assignments and papers. Some people prefer to put notifications in their phone
but I find that having an actual paper calendar in front of your eyes gives you a
better sense of time. Place a calendar somewhere near your study place that way
you're constantly aware what is UN and for which subject you can also get
creative and your stickers to remind you about upcoming deadlines .
5. make a study goal
Before you sit down to study write down what you want to accomplish during
the study session be specific by doing that you're setting a goal for yourself
setting a goal is very important as subconsciously you would feel that once you
reach your study goal you can take a break and reward yourself if you do not
have a study plan you might feel overwhelmed by the amount of material you
have to go through a study goal will help you to feel organized and keep track of
time.
6. Read the textbook
seems obvious but so many people rely just on their lecture notes and skip the
textbook entirely throughout the years of studying I found that the most effective
way to read the textbook goes like this first just read the chapter like you would a
novel do not try to understand the material nor take any notes once you do that
come back to the chapter but this time read it much slower take notes and try to
understand the material and remember no matter how good your lecture notes
are the textbook will always have more information.
7. Makeflashcards
okay so the step is self-explanatory four classes that require a lot of
memorization prepare a stack of flashcards and carry them with you every time
you have a free minute review them it is simple but it does help to remember the
material
8. Use Pomodoro Technique
Study for twenty-five minutes and take five minute breaks every third break take
up to 20 minutes you can set a stopwatch in your phone to keep track of time .
9. Reward yourself
every time you reach your study goal avoid yoursel 0f with something small but
enjoyable a piece of chocolate a bubble bath or your favorite TV show decide a
new word before you sit down to study so you have something to look forward
to.
10. Away from computer
Turn off your computer now obviously it is not always possible to study without
a computer but when it is turn it off without the temptation of Internet you
would concentrate so much more on the subject that you're studying
11. Switch it up be creative
you don't always have to study at your desk for example you can go over your
lecture notes while taking a bubble bath just put your notes in a clearer folder so
they don't get wet.
12. Remember the big picture
there are many reasons why you would want to get a good grade it's either to get
into an Ivy League school or get a scholarship whatever your reasons are write
them down on a piece of paper and keep them within your eyesight when you
feeling discouraged and motivated and tired it would help you to remember why
you're still studying at 2 a.m. in the morning or while you're at home cracking
math problem.
