The majority of the work I do is in the fmcg sector. I call on major
supermarkets and generally look after specific products by merchandising
stands, dealing with any promotions or new product launches and
troubleshooting any problems. I am used to doing all reporting online.

Thin Air Promotional Merchandise
P/T Sales Support 2005-2007
Thin Air supply both large corporates and small businesses with custom made
promotional merchandise such as printed t-shirts, baseball caps, bags and
accessories. My role was to look after existing clients as well as chase new
business. I also helped with the general day to day running of the business:-
chasing up suppliers, admin duties, accounts and collection of merchandise.
When I moved from London to Surrey it was no longer practical for me to work
for Thin Air.
Freelance work for field marketing companies 1998-2005
During this time I worked in the f.m.c.g. sector as a field-based sales
executive, merchandiser, and staff trainer. I worked in both the independent
and multiple sectors in areas such as pharmacy, grocery, c.t.n. and
cosmetics. This work was for some of the key players in field marketing such
as C.P.M., Trinity Executives, F.D.S. and some smaller agencies.

My Job involved taking customers to view properties, registering new clients
and dealing with phone queries.
Degree in Fashion Studies completed 1998-2002
Alongside the freelance work I completed a p/t degree in Fashion Studies at
The London College of Fashion. This degree focused on the cultural,
historical and business side of fashion but also provided a good background
in design realization and garment construction. A keen interest in fashion and
the desire to expand my knowledge and research skills is what led me to take
this course.
Warner Lambert Consumer Health Care
Territory Manager 1994-98
Warner Lambert produce over the counter medicines such as the Benylin
Range, Calpol, Zovirax, Zantac75 and many other market leading products.
My objective was to increase sales of these products and hit targets through
gaining recommendations from both counter staff and pharmacists. I
merchandised products, created displays and took orders. Part of my job was
to host Training Seminars for pharmacy staff. I had to organize all aspects of
this from booking the venue and selecting the food to presenting to up to 150
pharmacy staff. After 4 years with the company I felt the need for a change
and opted for freelancing work to give me more flexibility and variety.

During the early years of my career I gained much experience in varied fields

2 years as assistant manager in an independent jewellery shop
2 years running my own snack bar
