since 1869.
Infosa produces 80K tonnes of salt per year with modern
production techniques and equipment.

3. Different types of salt
• Sea salt: This comes from sea water evaporation in
saltworks
• Gema salt or rock salt: These come from landmines
exploitation

• This kind of salt is “harved” in saltworks located in large
tract of land near sea

saltworks called “pans”. These “pans” ensure the process

• After the evaporting process, there are two types of salt
that can be obtained considering their moisture level.
• Dry sea salt: maximum moustire level not over 0.3%
• Wet sea salt: with a maximum of 4% humidity in its
composition
