• Force can change the shape ad size of an
object. Some objects return to their original
shape and size after the release of force and
some are not. The shape and size of an object
may change when force is appliedon it.
Pushing, pounding, compressing, bending,
twisting, stretching, and squeezing are some
ways of changing the shape and size of an
object. An object that will return to its
original shape after force is applied is
called elasticity.
• Some object returns to their original shape
and size after the release of force and some
are not. Therefore, we must always be careful
in applying force because objects may not
regain to its original shape.
