Mrs. French hosted an open house for her 5th grade class to share information about herself, the curriculum for the year, important dates, classroom assignments, and test results. She emphasized the importance of good study habits and checking student planners for homework. So far in the year, the class has made great progress in English and fractions. Parents are encouraged to contact Mrs. French with any questions or concerns.

2. About Me I am married and have 2 children. Hobbies are reading and thinking of fun activities to do for our classroom!! I like to pretend I know how to draw!

3. Things we will cover this year We will cover fractions, multiplication, and simple algebra. Learning how to write and prepare for papers 1st year for SCIENCE FAIR!!

5. Good Study Habits Parents and Students I cannot stress enough how important GOOD study habits are and what you can achieve with them! We have to pass these ISATS and get our students to 6th grade!

7. Classroom Assignments Please check your child’s planner every night!! We need this for permission slips, important dates, books, and assignments. I will consistently have things for them to do. Except Fridays, I am one teacher who does NOT believe in homework on weekends!

8. What we have done so far!!! We are rocking in our English assignments!! We are two chapters ahead of schedule!! We are really starting to grasp our fractions which are one of the hardest things to get!!! This class is outstanding and continues to amaze me everyday!!
