September I have learnt about the basic codes and conventions of a music magazine
Monday 8th
September We went into more in-depth of what codes and conventions are in a music
magazine and now I know many moreand how to annotate the magazine
I have learnt about whattypes of theory that I need to include when talking about
the magazines target audience. (Hartley, Katz and Maslow)
Monday 15th
September Today I annoted my chosen magazine on the PowerPointand I also completed my
publisher research. In class I mademy WordPress accountand I aim to make it very
girly as my magazineof inspiration is ‘We love pop’
Today I learnt how to create a Survey Monkey, however I need to create it at home.
I also managed to finish my annotations for my magazineof inspiration in class, and
I also finished my audience profile.

2. Today I learnt whattype of image to include on my magazine(medium close up), I
also learnt how to annotate with codes and conventions a schoolmagazine.

September Today I learnt how to use Photoshop to makemy magazine look professional.
Started my preliminary frontcover and added in a barcodewith social media

September I have finished my improvements of my coursework for homework.
I have added a masthead and main cover story on my preliminary frontcover; I still
need to take photos for the cover stories.

October Today I edited my main cover photo for my pre-lim frontcover. Now I need to take
other photos for the other cover stories
Today I made surethat my pre-lim frontcover was done and did a few changes to
the main photo.
Monday 13th
October Today I have started my contents page in Photoshop; I also referred back to my
hand drawn draftof the contents page to help me design it.
Today I completed my editorial and added that into my preliminary contents page, I
have also added in my signatureand a few pictures.

November Today I got back my corrections for my contents page preliminary task and started
to finish them
Today I finished the corrections for my preliminary contents page, and I also have
almost finished all my homework corrections.
Today I finished all of my corrections for my homework; thereforeI can start to plan
my pop magazine frontcover on Photoshop.
Monday 10th
November Today I made surethat I started my front cover page in Photoshop, I also added
some final touches to my preliminary homework.

3. Today I started to do my frontcover for my main task, I added in my masthead and I
also added in the barcode. Whilst doing this I added ruler lines so I would then know
exactly where everything should go on the page.
Monday 17th
November Today I started my frontcover for my pop magazine, by adding in photos and
editing them
Today I added some cover lines, and added the strokeeffect to the text of the cover
line, I also included a few frontcover conventions for the magazine, these being, the
masthead and cover lines.
Monday 24th
November Today I managed to finish my cover lines, over the weekend I also took photos for
the cover lines, thereforenext lesson I will include them and I will also edit them to
look like a professionalmagazine. To do this I will use Photoshop.
Today I finished my front cover however over the weekend I will makesure I perfect
the editing of the photos

December Today I finished my front cover main task. I now have a few corrections to complete
by Thursdays deadline. I now need to start creating my contents page main task;
therefore I will need to take some morephotos for them.

December Today I started my contents page, I made surethat I completed the page
number/web address, theeditorial and signatureas well as the overall layout for
the contents pages cover lines with photos.
Today I finished my layout for my contents page, I added a gradientfor the
background and I also started to edit the photos for the cover lines.
Monday 15th
December This week I have edited the photos on my main colour contents page. I plan to add a
background to the photos once I have fully edited the photos of the people that I
took.

4. Monday 12th
January Today I have finished my contents page. By finishing it I havemade surethat I had
edited the photos for the cover stories and that my housestyle is correctwithin the
frontcover and contents page. By doing this I included the same pinks, purples and
yellows.
Today I made a starton my corrections for my planning and research. This is helpful
because it means that I can then upload them to my WordPress account. I willthen
make surethat I havefinished my corrections by my next lesson.

January Today I finished my corrections for my Contents Page.
Today I have started my double page spread on InDesign, I haveincluded the text
interview and the photos, and I havealso done a Drop Capital.
Monday 26th
January Today I finished editing my photos.
Monday 2nd
February Today I started my DoublePage Spread by adding in my edited image from
Photoshop and also changing the background colour to a pink gradient as with the
Contents Page.
Today I added in my interview for the text of the double page spread. And I also
added in my pull quote into one of the columns
Today I made the finishing touches to my double page spread, I added in some
more pull quotes and I also added in some extra styles to attract my target
audience ‘forever Taylor’.

February Today I added the samecolour scheme as my frontcover and double page spread,
this will make it look professionaland keep in the samecollection

February Today I uploaded my double page spread onto my blog page
Today I changed the design on my blog page to suit the needs of the target audience
so I made the background pink to connote the teen girls.
