2. Schedule week 1
Day number What I will be doing
1 - Monday Starting on my logo, I will be doing research and
looking into already existing logos. Start to
experiment with simple shapes to start ideas for
my own logo. Drawing by hand then scanning
them into photoshop and making them digital.
2 - Tuesday Carry on with the experimenting of the logo,
start to develop my own style. Create some
mascots or children’s characters to put into the
logo.
3 - Thursday Starting to refine one idea, either that being a
character as the logo or text. Making sure I am
happy with my choice. Refine logo so I’m ready
to make the final, professional looking logo for
the last day.
4 - Friday Last day of production, taking off from where I
left the previous day, refining the logo so it is
finished by the end of the day and that it looks
professional.
3. Week 2
Day number What I will be doing
1 - Monday I am going to start the poster this week, first I
will start with making a mind map, this is to put
down all my ideas, and so I can eliminate any
potentially bad ones, so I can keep the good
ones. Later on I can then push on with 2 or 3
good ideas and outlining these ideas in
paragraphs, accompanying them with small
mood boards. I will then choose the 2 most
successful
2 - Tuesday Here I will start to make rough designs on
photoshop, screenshotting my work as I go, so I
can evaluate each at the end of the day to
decide which poster I think will be most
successful.
3 - Thursday Here I will finish off evaluations and then start
on my chosen poster design, making sure I
include my logo.
4 - Friday Now I will be carrying on with my design and
making sure I finish it to a professional standard.
4. Week 3
Day number What I will be doing
1 - Monday This week I will be starting to make my
merchandise, I will start by making a mind map
and a mood board. The mind map will help to
to expand my simple ideas into more
thoughtful ones, including merchandise that
would be good for my target audience. The
mood boards will then help me compose the
style I want to put in my chosen merchandise.
2 - Tuesday Start to make 2/3 different flat plans of
different ideas for merchandise artwork, I can
then chose the best idea to continue to make
the next day. Being aware that the idea needs
to fit different styles of merchandise.
3 - Thursday Choose the best idea then start to create it, try
and nearly be finished by the end of the day,
but not rushing as it needs to have a
professional finish.
4 - Friday Continue to finish the artwork, then when it is
finished, I need to put it on mock up pieces of
merchandise making sure they are relevant to
my target audience.
5. Week 4
Day number What I will be doing
1 - Monday Start with experimenting with flat plans for this
form, deciding on making a new membership
form or a renewing their membership. With the
new membership I will have to add facts about
why its good to be a member.
2 - Tuesday Then I will take into consideration all the
technical aspects and plan out what text needs
to be in the membership form, what relevant
information might need to be put in it.
3 - Thursday I will then choose one of the flat plans and start
to create the form, getting down all the bare
foundations of it, then building it up with
pictures, colour and logo.
4 - Friday I will then continue on creating the form, making
sure the finish of it is professional and up to a
good standard.
6. Resources
Resources I will need Why I need them
Computer I will need this to complete all of my work on, and I will also
need it to submit my work on to.
Photoshop I need this to edit images on. This will also help me to be able
to create a more interesting and individual logo or poster
design, because there are more settings and opportunities.
InDesign I might need this to create a neat and professional looking
membership form on.
Paper and pencils If I decide to draw my logos by hand, then I will need paper
and pencils to get them down. Also I could use this to mind
map ideas down.
Scanner If I draw things on paper then I will be able to record them on
the computer. I will also be able to utilize and digitalize a
drawing e.g. a logo on photoshop, to make it more refined.
Camera I may decide to take my own images for some parts of this
campaign, so I will need to have a camera to be able to do
this.
Transport If I want to take pictures for this campaign, the pictures will
have to be of the sea to be relevant. Because I don’t live near
the sea, I will have to get some transport to get me to the
beach.
Fonts I will need fonts to put in all different areas of my campaign,
simple fonts for the membership form, and more interesting
ones for the poster.
