• Bharti Foundation
– Bharti Foundation is the philanthropic arm of Bharti Group Companies.
– The prime objective is to bridge the existing education divide and make quality
education accessible to underprivileged children in rural India.
– The Foundation aims to help underprivileged children and young people of our country
realize their potential.
• Satya Bharti School Program
– The Satya Bharti School Program is the flagship program of Bharti Foundation.
– It aims to deliver free quality education to underprivileged children, with special focus
on the girl child across rural India.
– Present Operational Status:
• Number of Schools Operational: 250
• States of Operation: Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh &
Tamil Nadu
• Number of Students Enrolled: Over 32,000
3. About the Community
• Geographical Location: It is established in village Achrol, Amer in
dist.- Jaipur Raj
• Cultural Background: People are very poor, They based on
agriculture or daily labour. Its part of desert area of Rajasthan
• Role of Satya Bharti School in the Village: The of Satya Bharti
School is as a Model School of the village, It’s a learning temple.
• Participation in ‘Design for Giving’ School Contest: School
participated in Design for Giving for ‘water conservation’
4. We ‘Felt’:
It was a big problem
in rural area that
people wasn’t
sensitive to conserve
rainy water.
Water is the basic
need in
this
desert area.
They didn’t know
how
to conserve water.
5. We ‘Imagined’:
Our school
children plan
for make
water
harvesting
system in the
school. They
discussed
with teacher
about this.

8. Impact on Community:
• Community
members have
known about
many ways of
water
conservation. In
this picture they
have made
boundary of sand
to their farms for
save water to their
crops. They never
waste water & also
planning some
more methods of
water
conservation.
9. Impact on Us:
• With the help of community and support of Govt. we
made water Harvesting system in the school. It is
very fruitful for us. Children and community use the
rainy water (stored in school) in their daily needs.
Every-one known about the value of water
conservation.
10. Experience of Community Members & Teachers:
• “I saw that soft hand of our children can change in society very
well, Our school children have done great here.” (K.C.Yadav, H.T.)

• School ke bachhon bahut achha kaam kiya hai, humare yahan
pani ki samasya ka samadhan kiya hai. (Mool Chand Yadav,
community member)
• “Bachhon ne hume pani ke liye jagruk kar diya hai, maine apne
kheton me med bandi kar di hai.” (Sabnam, Community
member.)
• Hum sab ne milkar pani store kar liya hai, jo humare kaam aata
hai(Babali Yadav student class 5th)
