The font is a blood red, which immediately alerts the audience to the genre of the film.

Does it link to the overall style of the cover/relate to the band/CD title etc The tone of the text is unorganised, which gives a feeling of the unknown, which translates to the audience, as they don’t yet know what will happen in the film either, which gives it an enticing appeal, however it is obvious that the film will follow typical horror conventions from the red font and dismembered hand.

15. Could you tell by the style of the poster/cover which genre they belonged to? How? You could definitely tell as the poster followed the typical conventions of a horror film, with the striking image of the dismembered hand and the red font.
16. Write down anything you think worked particularly well on this product? I think that the background worked well for the poster as it gives an unknown affect to the audience. This then helps build up the suspense for the film as the audience will want to know what it is about.
17. Anything you didn’t think worked? I feel that not a lot of information on the film was given, which could be an annoyance, however as mentioned before, this could entice people also as they want to find out what happens in the film.
