2. Survey Analysis
The survey tells us as a production team that our favoured Genres are
Psychological Horrors and Crime/Thrillers. Through the brainstorming process
we have decided to use the Psychological Horror genre. The survey tells us that
Young, Teenage females will be our target audience. This will have a hugely
significant affect on the creative aspect of the project, and how we will use
different techniques to appeal to our target audience. The survey also shows
that our target audience favour Psychological Horror s that include Dark/
Gloomy themes and Scary/ Mysterious sound, Colour and characters in the
opening. Our target audience also decided they favour the Psychological Horror
genre because of thought- provoking themes and interesting plots. The survey
also hints as to how we will establish our genre, applicants decided that sound,
editing and characters are all significant in establishing a genre. Our
Camerawork will also be affected by the survey, applicants said Establishing and
Ariel shots will help to establish the setting.
We also asked how many characters should be included in the opening, it has
been decided that only we will introduce only 1 or 2 characters, to establish
Protagonists or antagonists.
