Avid Energy, a small energy-efficiency
consulting firm based in Charlottesville,
Virginia, was looking for a simple, bold logo.
Frequently receiving high praise, this was my
first logo design.

Inspired by the style of historic Japanese
prints, the design depicts the area’s regional
animals working together. Created for an
annual charity bike ride held in Oita, Japan.
The Japanese text reads “Together,” the
theme for 2015’s ride.

I enjoyed working with this small local
cycling group to create a whimsical jersey
design loosely based on the California state
flag.The group, Crazy Chains, now wears the
jerseys to show united team spirit during
long rides.

Appealing to high school students, I used a
modern style with simple shapes and only a
few colors in this promotional design. Yufuin
is a 3-day intensive English immersion for
high schoolers held in Oita, Japan each
summer.

Poster submission for the 30th annual
Bucktown Arts Fest held in Chicago,
Illinois. Playing with typography, this design
focuses on the event information. The only
requirement for each submission was to
have a goat in the design.

of events leading to Daniel Sweeney’s arrest.

work written by Diane Lovegrove Bader.

Created for Creative Action Network,
a global community of crowdsourced
campaigns. The See America campaign is
a revival of the New Deal art project. These
designs promote two of my favorite national
parks.
