– About 50% plan to pursue advanced careers
– Health careers are more popular than others
– The average critical reading score is 501

• Overall acceptance rates are highest among Cornell and U Penn at 17.4%
and 17.1%
• Overall acceptance rates are lowest for Harvard at 7% and Yale at 7.5%
• On average the number of regular decision apps received by the Ivy
League schools is 23,700 with Cornell and Harvard receiving the most at
34,381 and 29,112, respectively.
• The number of early decision apps is also significant with numbers varying
from 2,343 for Brown University to 5,557 for Yale University. The data for
Harvard and Princeton were unavailable.
• The total apps received are highest for Cornell at 37,786 and lowest for
Princeton at 21,964.

Admission?
• Short Answer: NO
• There are a slew of other factors such as your
school GPA, science GPA, the type and
difficulty of courses you took, personal
statements, essays, awards, accomplishments,
letters of recommendation, extracurricular
activities, and great interviews.
7. What Is A Good Score?
• Well, to determine that, we'd have to look at
what score the majority of students who do
get accepted to these schools have. So in the
comparison below, I've outlined what the 25th
- 75th percentile of SAT/ACT scores are for
accepted students in fall of 2009 (data and
charts obtained from National Center for
Education Statistics).

• For most colleges, an average score with a
