To whom it may concern,
I am writing this letter to highly recommend Paige Stepien. It is not very often that a coach feels truly
honored to have the privilege of writing a letter of recommendation for a player, but this is one of those times
for me. As Paige’s varsity golf coach during her sophomore, junior, and senior years, I was able to get to know
her as a player and a person. When I first met Paige, it was evident that she was the type of player every
coach would want on the team. Not only is Paige’s smile and laugh infectious, but her overall attitude and
work ethic are admirable. Paige is a natural leader who always works hard to improve her skills as well as help
her team improve. Not once was there ever a question of work ethic or heart with Paige. She treated every
practice like it was a match and every match like it was her last.
Besides playing varsity golf and leading the team as a captain, Paige is active in many organizations at
Pulaski High School. These organizations include Spanish Club, Raider Legacy Club, and National Honor
Society. Paige is also the Environmental Club president, as well as a participant in school musical productions
such as Willy Wonka and Anything Goes. Along with contributing to these school organizations, Paige also
volunteers in the community by serving others at Relay For Life and Green Bay Mission Supply, packing
medical supplies for the people of Haiti. With how active Paige is in and out of school, it is quite impressive
how successful she has been in her education. Paige carries a 3.76 grade point average. This is while taking a
variety of AP and college preparatory classes. This work ethic is preparing Paige to be a great success at
Bethel University where she plans to pursue a career in Nursing.
Rarely as a coach and teacher have I met a student athlete who has such a bright future as Paige. She
is a hard working, positive young woman who makes everyone around her a better person. She is extremely
mature and leads her life with integrity. I hope that you will strongly consider her.
