Jacqueline Rodriguez
Hello class!
My name is Jacqueline Rodriguez and I am 34 years old. I live in North Carolina with my four children Isabella, Noel, Novalee and Max. I am a mom of twins (boy and girl) Noel and Novalee. My kids range in age from 9 to 6 years old. Currently I am a 6th grade ELA and Social Studies teacher going on my third year of teaching next school year. Previously I taught Kindergarten and that was a big leap from kindergarten to middle school. Since having some experience in the classroom I feel that assessments are so important in so many aspects. Assessments help teachers plan lessons and differentiate instruction for our students. It also allows us to use the data from assessments to see student growth and where we as teachers can improve our lessons. This leads me to the learning outcome that most intrigues me (Design learner-centered instruction aligned with Common Core State Standards, digital age standards (NETS-S), and 21st Century skills to promote learner achievement and growth). I want my classroom to be a place where students are learning in an innovative and 21st century based learning environment and using their skills to further their knowledge on the content being taught.
Currently I am working on my Masters in Education and have a BA is Psychology. I have always had a love for teaching and decided to go back to school to get my Masters in Education. This will be my fourth course and I am so excited to continue learning more. A fun fact about myself is that I am also an International Bestselling Published Author and have written five titles so far with more on the way. I also enjoy baking so much that I often times bake WAY too much! In teaching this course, I hope Dr. Adkins does provide a great deal of constructive criticism and feed back to help me grow and further my knowledge as an educator.
I look forward to working with everyone!
Chameka Dalton
Hello everyone,
My name is Chameka Dalton. I am from Memphis, Tennessee. I have a bachelor's degree in early childhood education. I just accepted my first teacher position as a kindergarten teacher for the 2018-2019 school year.
The MAED Program Learning Outcomes that most intrigue me is: Design appropriate and challenging learning experiences informed by analysis of how learners develop individually across the cognitive, linguistic, social, emotional, and physical patterns to promote student learning and growth.
Students learning development and academic achievement will always be my main focus. This outcome will allow me to be a more effective as a new teacher at creating appropriate all around lessons. I know that there are multiple forms of assessments used to guide teaching and learning. Assessment is an ongoing process to improve students academic achievement as well as instruction.
During this course, I hope Dr. Adkins provide me with guidance needed to mold me into a better teacher. ...

To whom it may concern:
I am pleased to write this letter of recommendation for Jared Lamborn. Jared worked with me in
the History Department at Creekwood Middle School for over a year and I found him to be
conscientious and very hardworking. He began here as a teacher and continued to serve with
increasing skill in that capacity. I admired him for his many valuable qualities, and regarded him
with evermore respect.
During Jared's time with us, I have had the opportunity to observe his professional skills as well
as interpersonal style. He is innovative and takes on tasks with excitement and dedication. Very
goal oriented, Jared was always punctual, yet easygoing. He was committed to his work and the
job at hand. Regardless of deadlines or other pressures, Jared always delivers.
Jared’s superior organizational skills make him the consummate multi-tasker. In addition to
teaching, he brought together and coached Creekwood’s first ever girls soccer team with great
success. With much ambition and determination, he thrived under adversity to reach greater
levels of achievement.
In closing, let me say I have no hesitation in recommending Jared Lamborn. The desire to learn
and grow has made Jared available for new challenges. I am positive of his ability to undertake
even the most complex of work. I feel confident he would be an asset to you and am happy to
provide more details if you would like additional information.
Sincerely,
Atifa Manzoor M.Ed.
