To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure that I am writing this letter of recommendation for Lisa Garcia. I have
known Ms. Garcia on a professional level for four years now, while she has served as teacher,
grade level team leader, school improvement team leader, and vertical team leader here at
Bluebonnet Elementary. Leading an instructional team on a campus experiencing
organizational change is a huge challenge, and she has conducted herself with the confidence
and maturity of a seasoned leader. Lisa has lead multiple teams on campus, however most
notable, she lead a team who was struggling with the instructional planning process and making
student achievement a priority, resulting in a team that was a model for collaborative planning
and showed notable gains in student achievement. She is a phenomenal educator, person, and
colleague.
Lisa has high expectations for herself, colleagues, and especially children. She is a strong
advocate for her students and their success. Her ability to connect with her students and her
talent at teaching are superior. She is highly organized, reliable and is a reflective practitioner.
Ms. Garcia works collaboratively with her peers not only at her grade level, but also as part of
our leadership team, with interventionists and parents to ensure the needs of her students are
met. She accomplishes these tasks with great initiative and commitment.
One of Ms. Garcia’s greatest strengths is her commitment to growing as a professional and
leader on campus. She seeks out feedback and actively participates in professional
development to grow and develop her knowledge, abilities, and skills as a teacher. She also
shows initiative in generating ideas for initiatives in school improvement.
Ms. Garcia truly cares about our students and advocates for their success. It is with great pride
that I recommend Lisa Garcia for this role in educational leadership. Please feel free to contact
me with any questions or concerns you have regarding Ms. Garcia.
Sincerely,
Gabi Niño
