1. Sample sound paragraph
In the shower scene in ‘Carrie’, the director uses non-diegetic score
music. Towards the beginning of the scene, we hear slow-paced, serious
music whilst she is showering on her own. The music connotes the calm
mood as she is at peace with showering away from the other girls.
However, there is a serious tone which indicates the tension and
foreshadows a serious/concerning event.
