What is a HEART ATTACK
STEP 1
● Do not panic!
● Start coughing REPEATEDLY and VERY VIGOROUSLY!
Coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the blood circulating
The squeezing pressure on the heart also helps it regain normal rhythm

STEP 2
● Take a deep breath before each cough
● The cough must be deep and prolonged, as when producing sputum from deep inside the chest.
Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs

STEP 3
• Repeat breath and cough every 2 seconds
• Don’t let it up until help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating normally again.
