OVERVIEW
Traditionally, safety is perceived as separate from other
areas of organizational function. Thriving organizations are
however, demonstrating that deploying a comprehensive
approach to safety management enhances the value chain.
The implementation of Safety, Health and Environment
system is a key aspect of providing a platform to drive
growth and optimize safe operational process especially in
the high risk oil and gas business.
This three days brainstorming learning programme will take
an in-depth look at the critical factors that need to be
considered when implementing a companywide HSE MS. Its
competency based approach give insights into HSE
challenges and initiate solutions to build an integrated
structure by engaging the entire workforce to HSE
practices.
LEARNING OBJECTIVE
At the Completion of this programme participants will:
o Apply appropriates tools to develop a safe system
of work (e.g. JHA, PTW) for complex or non
routine risk.
o Monitor effectiveness and amend, if necessary, the
controls in operation to maintain a safe system of
work.
o Work with other disciplines to establish key
arrangement or safe system such as isolation,
access and mechanical aids.
o Review and evaluate work plans to address
worksite HSSE hazards and improve risk
management using the hierarchy aids.
o Conduct effective site safety checks and audits.
o Identify potentials or actual change: assess their
effect on HSSE risk and implement necessary
controls
o Provide advice on personal safety controls for
regulatory compliance.
o Provide coaching on safe systems of work tools
and techniques.

CURRICULUM
EHS management has two general objectives: prevention of
incidents or accidents that might result from abnormal
operating conditions on the one hand and reduction of
adverse effects that result from normal operating
conditions on the other hand.
