Why, When and How Do I Start a Digital Transformation?Acquia
Presented at Acquia Engage APAC by Brittany Fox, Marketing Campaign Strategist, Deloitte.
Every organisation undergoing a marketing transformation has a starting point, with the difference only being the product of internal capability and maturity. At Deloitte, we take our clients from their starting point to being ready for whatever the next innovation is. This is the only real mechanism enterprises can implement for the future.
The explosive growth of data and the value it creates calls on data professionals to level up their programs to build, demonstrate, and maintain trust. The days of fine print, pre-ticked boxes, and data hoarding are gone and strong collaboration from data, privacy, marketing and ethics teams is necessary to design trustworthy data-driven practices.
Join for a discussion on the latest trends in trusted data and how you can take critical steps to build trust in data practices by:
- Embedding privacy by design into data operations
- Respecting individual choice and optimizing the ongoing relationship with consumers
- Preparing for future data challenges including responsible AI and sustainability
Artificial intelligence is reshaping business, and the time is ripe for companies to capitalise AI. The organisation can use AI to move their focus from discrete business problems to significant business challenges.
An organisation should use ML and Data Science to drive digital transformation for more back-office operational efficiency, better user/engagement, smoother onboarding, and better ROI by lowering cost and bring more data-driven taking mechanism for transparency.
AI will be a valuable, transformational change agent not only to the way business is done but to the way people live their daily lives if it isn't perceived as a plug-and-play technology with immediate returns but more like a long term solution to rewire the organisation.

How a Semantic Layer Makes Data Mesh Work at ScaleDATAVERSITY
Data Mesh is a trending approach to building a decentralized data architecture by leveraging a domain-oriented, self-service design. However, the pure definition of Data Mesh lacks a center of excellence or central data team and doesn’t address the need for a common approach for sharing data products across teams. The semantic layer is emerging as a key component to supporting a Hub and Spoke style of organizing data teams by introducing data model sharing, collaboration, and distributed ownership controls.
This session will explain how data teams can define common models and definitions with a semantic layer to decentralize analytics product creation using a Hub and Spoke architecture.
Attend this session to learn about:
- The role of a Data Mesh in the modern cloud architecture.
- How a semantic layer can serve as the binding agent to support decentralization.
- How to drive self service with consistency and control.

Capgemini’s Data WARP: Accelerate your Journey to InsightsCapgemini
More data, more insights. Data is at the center of change and business value! There is no limit to volume, structure of timing. But more data brings more challenges, like cost of storage, increased complexity of the data architecture and a lack of agility. Many organizations are still faced with scattered data lying in silos across the organization. They often lack a clear business case for funding a transform of their data landscape. Or they suffer from ineffective co-ordination of Data and analytics initiatives. Finally, the dependency on legacy systems for data processing and management is still high. Data WARP (Wide Angle Rationalization Program) helps organizations improve the performance of their data & insights architecture landscape, by providing key deliverables like rationalization designs, business cases and transformation roadmap.

Hadoop is arguably one of the most disruptive technologies of the last decade. Once lauded solely for its ability to transform the speed of batch processing, it has marched steadily forward and promulgated an array of performance-enhancing accessories, notably Spark and YARN. Hadoop has evolved into much more than a file system and batch processor, and it now promises to stand as the data management and analytics backbone for enterprises.
Register for this episode of The Briefing Room to learn from veteran Analyst Rick van der Lans, as he discusses the emerging roles of Hadoop within the analytics ecosystem. He’ll be briefed by Ron Bodkin of Think Big, a Teradata Company, who will explore Hadoop’s maturity spectrum, from typical entry use cases all the way up the value chain. He’ll show how enterprises that already use Hadoop in production are finding new ways to exploit its power and build creative, dynamic analytics environments.

Time to move from process focused automation to data centric automation pptMindfields Global
With workflows becoming increasingly complicated, the current process-centric approach is becoming more expensive to run – either through cost of automation or through the cost of people doing the work. With increasing focus on data in organisations we believe that data-driven organisations must also think differently when it comes to the role of data in their automation activities. Companies can continue to devise more complex and costly work-arounds to make a process-centric approach work in a data-centric world, or they can use an automation approach that is inherently data-centric to drive the next phase of Hyperautomation.

Builder.ai Founder Sachin Dev Duggal's Strategic Approach to Create an Innova...Ramesh Iyer
In today's fast-changing business world, Companies that adapt and embrace new ideas often need help to keep up with the competition. However, fostering a culture of innovation takes much work. It takes vision, leadership and willingness to take risks in the right proportion. Sachin Dev Duggal, co-founder of Builder.ai, has perfected the art of this balance, creating a company culture where creativity and growth are nurtured at each stage.
UiPath Test Automation using UiPath Test Suite series, part 4DianaGray10
Welcome to UiPath Test Automation using UiPath Test Suite series part 4. In this session, we will cover Test Manager overview along with SAP heatmap.
The UiPath Test Manager overview with SAP heatmap webinar offers a concise yet comprehensive exploration of the role of a Test Manager within SAP environments, coupled with the utilization of heatmaps for effective testing strategies.
Participants will gain insights into the responsibilities, challenges, and best practices associated with test management in SAP projects. Additionally, the webinar delves into the significance of heatmaps as a visual aid for identifying testing priorities, areas of risk, and resource allocation within SAP landscapes. Through this session, attendees can expect to enhance their understanding of test management principles while learning practical approaches to optimize testing processes in SAP environments using heatmap visualization techniques
What will you get from this session?
1. Insights into SAP testing best practices
2. Heatmap utilization for testing
3. Optimization of testing processes
4. Demo
Topics covered:
Execution from the test manager
Orchestrator execution result
Defect reporting
SAP heatmap example with demo
Speaker:
Deepak Rai, Automation Practice Lead, Boundaryless Group and UiPath MVP
Neuro-symbolic is not enough, we need neuro-*semantic*Frank van Harmelen
Neuro-symbolic (NeSy) AI is on the rise. However, simply machine learning on just any symbolic structure is not sufficient to really harvest the gains of NeSy. These will only be gained when the symbolic structures have an actual semantics. I give an operational definition of semantics as “predictable inference”.
All of this illustrated with link prediction over knowledge graphs, but the argument is general.
Epistemic Interaction - tuning interfaces to provide information for AI supportAlan Dix
Paper presented at SYNERGY workshop at AVI 2024, Genoa, Italy. 3rd June 2024
https://alandix.com/academic/papers/synergy2024-epistemic/
As machine learning integrates deeper into human-computer interactions, the concept of epistemic interaction emerges, aiming to refine these interactions to enhance system adaptability. This approach encourages minor, intentional adjustments in user behaviour to enrich the data available for system learning. This paper introduces epistemic interaction within the context of human-system communication, illustrating how deliberate interaction design can improve system understanding and adaptation. Through concrete examples, we demonstrate the potential of epistemic interaction to significantly advance human-computer interaction by leveraging intuitive human communication strategies to inform system design and functionality, offering a novel pathway for enriching user-system engagements.
