Noterik WebTV is a company that has worked on several European research programs related to online video over the past 10 years. Some of their projects include developing a platform containing historical European television material called EuscreenXL and a project called LinkedTV that enriched television programs with related web information. Their Multiscreen Toolkit was developed based on their work on the LinkedTV project and helps shorten the development cycle for multiscreen prototypes. They are interested in how EUscreen content could be used for gaming or making time-based tagging a game.

The Flemish public administration aims to integrate and publish all research information on a portal. Information is currently stored according to the CERIF standard modeled in (E)ER and aimed at extensibility. Solutions exist to easily publish data from databases in RDF, but ontologies need to be constructed to render those meaningful. In order to publish their data, the public administration and other stakeholders first need to agree on a shared understanding of what exactly is captured and stored in that format. In this paper, we show how the use of the Business Semantics Management method and tool contributed in achieving that aim.

ICT and testing must carry their part of global responsibility to help with the climat warming. We can minimize the carbon footprint but we can also have a carbon handprint, a positive impact on the climate. Quality characteristics can be added with sustainability, and then measured continuously. Test environments can be used less, and in smaller scale and on demand. Test techniques can be used in optimizing or minimizing number of tests. Test automation can be used to speed up testing.
