Silence Template
Use this slide create moments of spaciousness and quiet in your classroom. Schooldays can rush by with no moment to collect oneself. Help your students regain a sense of calm by building in moments of silence. You can edit this slide to be a time for journaling, deep breaths, stretching, etc.
Stress Check Template Ask students to check-in with themselves and do a little self assessment. They can drag the dot on this scale to indicate their current stress level. Feel free to change the scale and the descriptions to best fit your students.

To launch a new lesson or unit of study, draw students in with a big, compelling question that can be explored from many angles and across the 4 main disciplines (Civics, History, Economics, and Geography). Change the big question above to fit your lesson.
Then, prompt students to construct their own supporting questions. What are other things we’d have to study to answer this question? What might concepts from each of the 4 disciplines provide different angles on this question?
You can tweak this template for different age levels. For example, at the primary school level, you might want to start with having students identifying important facts they already know or want to learn, whereas at the secondary level you can expect students to come up with compelling supporting questions across each of the 4 disciplines.
Character Perspective

Use this template to help students become adept at identifying different types of sources and become more familiar with the types of sources available when doing their own research. To use this template, insert your own excerpt or otherwise direct students to the source you want them to evaluate.
Use this template to prompt students to think about change over time. Fill in the topic and time period you want them to consider, like changes in religion between 500 BCE and 1000 CE. In the bubbles, students can type or draw how things were before and after a change. In the squares, they type the reason for the change.
