The document discusses the Book of Habakkuk in the Bible. It summarizes that Habakkuk cries out to God questioning why God's people are suffering in captivity. God answers Habakkuk, telling him to write down the vision and prophecy so that others may run to God with it. The vision involves God's plan to answer suffering in His appointed time. Habakkuk ultimately expresses strong faith in God despite difficulties.

Habakkuk didn’t understand what God was doing, and found the answer even more confusing. Jehovah reminds him that the righteous must live by faith. Five lessons are derived from this book: Ask Questions; Honor God; Wait for God; Joy in Jehovah; and Go Up to the High Places.
Meditating on the Lord can be one of the easiest yet at the same time most difficult activities we can do to draw closer to God and grow spiritually. (James 4:8 Draw nigh to God, and he will draw nigh to you.)
Is there something in your life you don't understand? If not, there will be. In part 5 of Messy series called "In The Dip," you will discover some specific steps you can take when it seems like God is not making sense.

Closing Prayer:
Father God, we know that you are all-powerful and have the ability to change our lives. Please change the way we reach out to you in prayer - not just while we are in the bathroom, or while driving to our destinations. We don't want to waste our time on prayers that don't work. Teach us what effective prayer is; teach us how to pray it. Teach us to be still and silent. Remind us of the confidence we have in You, that if we ask anything according to Your will, You will hear us. When we feel desperate, let us trust in You. When we are brokenhearted and betrayed, let us seek you Jesus. Make us be honest with You and surrender all of our anger and disappointment. Comfort us, bind our wounds, fill us with Your mercy and grace and make us always obedient to you. Make our prayer lives perfect. Amen.

The Book of Joshua is the sixth book in the Hebrew Bible and the Old Testament, and is the first book of the Deuteronomistic history, the story of Israel from the conquest of Canaan to the Babylonian exile.
In Jude 17-23 Jude shifts from piling up examples of false teachers from the Old Testament to a series of practical exhortations that flow from apostolic instruction. He preserves for us what may well have been part of the apostolic catechism for the first generation of Christ-followers. In these instructions Jude exhorts the believer to deal with 3 different groups of people: scoffers who are "devoid of the Spirit", believers who have come under the influence of scoffers and believers who are so entrenched in false teaching that they need rescue and pose some real spiritual risk for the rescuer. In all of this Jude emphasizes Jesus' call to rescue straying sheep, leaving the 99 safely behind and pursuing the 1.

2. HABAKKUK 2:1-3
I will take my stand at my watch post
and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me,
and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
3. HABAKKUK 2:1-3
I will take my stand at my watch post
and station myself on the tower,
and look out to see what he will say to me,
and what I will answer concerning my complaint.
And the LORD answered me:
“Write the vision;
make it plain on tablets,
so he may run who reads it.
For still the vision awaits its appointed time;
it hastens to the end—it will not lie.
If it seems slow, wait for it;
it will surely come; it will not delay.
4. Brief Summary:
The Book of Habakkuk begins with Habakkuk
crying out to God for an answer to why God’s
chosen people are allowed to suffer in their
captivity (Habakkuk 1:1-4).
5. Brief Summary:
The Lord gives His answer to Habakkuk,
essentially stating, “You wouldn’t believe it if
I told you” (Habakkuk 1: 5-11).
6. Brief Summary:
Habakkuk then follows up by saying, “Ok, you
are God, but still tell me more about why
this is happening” (Habakkuk 1:17-2:1).
7. Brief Summary:
God then answers him again and gives him more
information, then tells the earth to be silent
before Him (Habakkuk 2:2-20).
8. Brief Summary:
Then Habakkuk writes a prayer expressing his
strong faith in God, even through these trials
(Habakkuk 3:1-19).
9. Habakkuk’s name means to
“embrace” or “wrestle.”
he was wrestling with a difficult issue.
10. From Worry to Worship.
From Fear to Faith.
While Habakkuk begins by wondering or
worrying about the world around him and
God’s seeming indifference, he ends by
worshipping God.
12. Sometimes in our Christian life we
think to ourselves, “There must be
something more than this!”
13. We long for something deeper.
Something fulfilling.
Something radical.
Something life-changing.
Something that would really make a difference.
WE LONG FOR INTIMACY WITH GOD!
14. The profound St. Augustine most eloquently said:
To fall in love with God is the greatest of all romances;
To seek Him, the greatest adventure; To find Him, the
greatest human achievement.
THAT’S INTIMACY WITH GOD!
23. Close friendships aren’t instantaneous; they must be
cultivated over time.
In the same way, spiritual unity with the Almighty must
be diligently pursued.
24. Oswald Chambers wrote,
"It is a joy to Jesus when a person takes
time to walk more intimately with Him.
The bearing of fruit is always shown in
Scripture to be a visible result of an
intimate relationship with Jesus
Christ" (My Utmost for His Highest)
25. Pray for a hunger for Him …
A simple but powerful prayer to pray is 'draw
me.' I pray for the King to bring me into His
chambers (Song of Solomon 1:4) that I would
be one with whom He can share the secrets of
His heart (Psalm 25:14).
28. HABAKKUK 2:1-3
