Roshaneh Zafar is the founder and managing director of Kashf Foundation, a pioneering microfinance organization in Pakistan. She has a Masters in Development Economics from Yale University and has worked for the World Bank. Inspired by Muhammad Yunus, she founded Kashf Foundation in 1995 to empower women economically through microloans and financial services. Under her leadership, Kashf has grown significantly and provided loans to thousands of women across Pakistan. She has received several awards for her work in women's empowerment and social entrepreneurship.
