4. In the 1960s, Spider-Man was first introduced by Stan Lee and
Steve Ditko. He was first introduced in (Amazing Fantasy No.
15). The design was originally developed by Steve Ditko, who
wanted a specific look for the character. Steve thought of the
suit being
lightweight so Spider-Man would be able
to move at efficient speeds. He also
thought that the mask would add
mystery to the character and the lack
of armor would allow him to cling to
walls and swing around easily. He has
been addressed as one of the most
"relatable" hero, since he is only a teenage
boy who goes through the same problems
as an average American teenager would.
In a more recent series of comics, a new Spider-Man was
introduced to the Ultimate Marvel universe, Earth 1610. In 2011,
Brian Michael Bendis and Sara Pichelli created Miles Morales, a
character who would take on the mantle of Spider-Man after Peter
Parker's death. One key change that Miles Morales has, is that he
isn't a white male.
Miles Morales descended from his Hispanic and
African American parents. Stan Lee, the creator
of the original Spider-Man approved of the idea
and encouraged more appearances of heroes
with a different race. People have addressed
that the inclusion of Miles in the Marvel Universe
makes the children (who haven't been able to
connect with Caucasian version of the
character) connect with an alternative, yet
similar version of the character, whilst maintaining
the iconic symbolism.

7. In 1938, Superman was created by Jerry Siegel and Joe
Shuster. They sold the character to DC comics and was
a success, leading on to make radio appearances and
was placed in various newspaper slips. Superman is still
massively popular in 2017 and is considered a huge
American cultural icon. He has fascinated theorists
around the world, discussing the impact of the
character in the modern age. He has been used in
various political campaigns and a range of issues
effecting the ongoing changes in society.
This version of Superman is different to the version
that is typically show in the comics. This Superman's
name is called Val Zod, whilst the original character is
called Kal El. Unlike Kal, Val believes that he doesn't
need to resolve every issue with violence. Since Val is
a pacifist and is against violence, it is very hard for
him to control himself against great threats against
the world. This character was met with an
overwhelmingly positive response from readers
worldwide. The minority groups had taken Val Zod as
their own Superman, and have embraced the bold
step that DC had taken into shaping this character.
