Colour palettes are largely a matter of personal taste and preferences.
The important thing is how you connect it in the overall scheme of the room.
Furniture Fundamentals
Try to stay away from all-matched sets that look like you picked up furniture for an
entire room, as is, from a showroom.

Stick to your personality map for the room. For example, if it is inherently
traditional, then choosing black leather sofas with steel base furniture in straight lines
                               really won’t work too well.

On the other hand, a modern room need not be all about minimalism and high gloss
finishes. The odd touch of traditional and a hint of colour and curve will add more
visual interest. Eclectiscm can add value if you integrate it well.

If it works with the layout, keep an old piece of furniture purely for its emotional value.
It could be a mirror or just a small table but you will feel more connected to the room
every time you see it. Memories are a powerful source of comfort.

Connect to your space the way YOU want.
Elements connect to tell a
                                            story…..about you

Layers….the ultimate edge

Use all of these to create
                        layers of interest.

                      Any single aspect that
Pattern Scale dominates can make the
                     space seem out of sync.

                     Harmony is essential, and
much like it is in nature,
Texture Form elements can work
                        together to create
                     something that is unique.
Layers can make even the
        simplest of spaces
        visually interesting.

     Pattern and texture add a
         lot of warmth and
      personality to a space.

      Scale and form bring in
     design elements in a very
          subtle manner.

Accents……phonetics of a space
                                  The accent
                                pieces make all
                                the difference.
 Accent
                                They need to

                    Focal be in
                                conversation
                                  with the

                  point of overall space.

                                 Choose your

                  interest speakers
                                   wisely.

   Good
placement
Creating nooks and corners
which are focal points add a
    lot of visual interest.

   While you can have more
than one focal point in a
  room it would be advisable
  to not have them compete
         for attention.

  Keep them in conversation
  but maintain the heirarchy
       within a space.
