Romeo and Juliet fall in love at first sight at a ball, though they are from feuding families, the Montagues and Capulets. With the help of Friar Laurence, they secretly marry in hopes of reconciling their families. However, conflicts between their cousins lead to the deaths of Mercutio and Tybalt. Romeo is exiled for killing Tybalt, and a plan for Romeo and Juliet to reunite goes awry, ultimately leading to the tragic suicides of the star-crossed lovers. Their deaths bring an end to the long-standing feud between their families.
