In Verona, Romeo from the Montague family falls in love at first sight with Juliet from the rival Capulet family. They marry in secret with the help of Friar Laurence. On their wedding night, Romeo mistakenly kills Juliet's cousin Paris, who he finds mourning at her tomb, believing Juliet to be dead. Romeo then takes his own life by drinking poison next to Juliet's body. Their love transcends the feud between their families.
