India's ancient wisdom, which is still relevant today, inspires people to work for the larger objective of the well-being of all stakeholders. For example, our Rushees, Munees and Saints preached us to serve the society. The idea of CSR first came up in 1953 when it became an academic topic in HR Bowen’s “Social Responsibilities of the Business”. Since then, there has been continuous debate on the concept and its implementation. Although the idea has been around for more than half a century, there is still no clear consensus over its definition. Post 1991, there is increasingly a receding role of the state in the economic and social sphere. An increasing acceptance of CSR by large number of corporate, post liberalization can thus be seen in the context of the larger role being consciously carved for the private sector in an economy which was earlier largely controlled and managed by the State. The corporate world is keen to exploit the opportunities that are being provided by the new economic outlook of the State. Today, 93% of the world’s largest 250 companies now publish annual corporate responsibility reports, almost 60% of which are independently audited.

Up the Ratios Bylaws - a Comprehensive Process of Our Organizationuptheratios
Up the Ratios is a non-profit organization dedicated to bridging the gap in STEM education for underprivileged students by providing free, high-quality learning opportunities in robotics and other STEM fields. Our mission is to empower the next generation of innovators, thinkers, and problem-solvers by offering a range of educational programs that foster curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking.
At Up the Ratios, we believe that every student, regardless of their socio-economic background, should have access to the tools and knowledge needed to succeed in today's technology-driven world. To achieve this, we host a variety of free classes, workshops, summer camps, and live lectures tailored to students from underserved communities. Our programs are designed to be engaging and hands-on, allowing students to explore the exciting world of robotics and STEM through practical, real-world applications.
Our free classes cover fundamental concepts in robotics, coding, and engineering, providing students with a strong foundation in these critical areas. Through our interactive workshops, students can dive deeper into specific topics, working on projects that challenge them to apply what they've learned and think creatively. Our summer camps offer an immersive experience where students can collaborate on larger projects, develop their teamwork skills, and gain confidence in their abilities.
In addition to our local programs, Up the Ratios is committed to making a global impact. We take donations of new and gently used robotics parts, which we then distribute to students and educational institutions in other countries. These donations help ensure that young learners worldwide have the resources they need to explore and excel in STEM fields. By supporting education in this way, we aim to nurture a global community of future leaders and innovators.
Our live lectures feature guest speakers from various STEM disciplines, including engineers, scientists, and industry professionals who share their knowledge and experiences with our students. These lectures provide valuable insights into potential career paths and inspire students to pursue their passions in STEM.
Up the Ratios relies on the generosity of donors and volunteers to continue our work. Contributions of time, expertise, and financial support are crucial to sustaining our programs and expanding our reach. Whether you're an individual passionate about education, a professional in the STEM field, or a company looking to give back to the community, there are many ways to get involved and make a difference.
We are proud of the positive impact we've had on the lives of countless students, many of whom have gone on to pursue higher education and careers in STEM. By providing these young minds with the tools and opportunities they need to succeed, we are not only changing their futures but also contributing to the advancement of technology and innovation on a broader scale.
Russian anarchist and anti-war movement in the third year of full-scale warAntti Rautiainen
Anarchist group ANA Regensburg hosted my online-presentation on 16th of May 2024, in which I discussed tactics of anti-war activism in Russia, and reasons why the anti-war movement has not been able to make an impact to change the course of events yet. Cases of anarchists repressed for anti-war activities are presented, as well as strategies of support for political prisoners, and modest successes in supporting their struggles.

10. BLOG POST
Robin Hood Army is a volunteer-based organization that collects excess food from restaurants and
distributes it to the less fortunate. A group of six, it has grown to 1,000 volunteers spread across 18
cities, who have served more than 2.5 lakh people. The idea came from when I saw this organization,
Refood – which redistributes excess food to the needy through volunteers. The setup revolves
around decentralization. Small teams, mostly young professionals, become responsible for specific
areas; they pitch local restaurants, convince them to donate surplus food, identify clusters of people in
need — such as the homeless and orphanages — and carry out weekly distributions. In India millions
of people don’t get one serving. Hunger kills more people each year than AIDS, Malaria, and terrorism
combined. Every 10 seconds, a child dies from hunger. One in every eight people sleeps hungry at
night. Lockdown or not, the lives of lakhs of people are still affected, and bringing food to the table
has become a task. It’s time we all stand together and put an effort to make sure no one has to sleep
hungry. Are you looking for a genuine platform to help people? Then your search ends here!
