To whom it may concern:
I am writing this letter of recommendation on behalf of Robert (Bo) Kiefer. Bo originally started
with Pepsiin May of 2011 as Summer help. In Bo’s first 30 days He quickly distinguished
himself to the point where we recognized many traits that meld nicely into the PepsiCo culture.
He was immediately removed from his position of Bay Sales Assistant and shifted into our formal
2 year (May- August) Food Service Summer Internship program. During his two Summers, Bo
was involved with New Product Brand Development initiatives involving direct Consumer
engagement, sampling, and cold calling to expand distribution.
During his tenure, Bo experienced how to deal with Customer issues and resolution, learned
about life in a structured corporate environment and all the expectations that come with making
an impression/ impact during weekly “day in the trade” rides with Senior Sales Mangers. He was
exposed to basic networking and challenged to conform into a corporate environment yet still
remain and contribute as an individual. During his time with Pepsi, he demonstrated many
successfultraits such as proactivity, reliability, ability to think for himself and “on his feet”,work
ethic, integrity and “walking the talk”. Bo worked well as part of a team and exuding leadership
qualities amidst his peer group. He was at the top of his intern classes and distinguished himself
both years.
Post Bo’s two Summer internships we reached out to one of our Allied Brand partner, Rockstar
Energy Drink, to have Bo employed as a Campus Brand Ambassador. Bo worked relentlessly
over the course of three years building brand equity and distribution within Oxford and in
particular around the University of Mississippi.
This being Bo’s last year at the University of Mississippi, I took it upon myself to inquire as to
Bo’s intentions after graduation and to volunteer my personal letter of recommendation.
Bo is an outstanding young man with a bright future in front of him… I gladly write this letter on
