How to Use Your Product Roadmap as a Communication ToolJanna Bastow
Find out how making this one small change at your company can completely shift the way you communicate with your customers for the better.
In this webinar, ProdPad co-founder Janna Bastow will talk about how companies have successfully gone public with their product roadmaps - and share exactly what steps you’ll need to take to launch yours.
You’ll see two dramatic changes when you open the door to your product roadmap to your customers:
- Your customers will know your product vision and your priorities as a company
- Your support team will be able to confidently take customer feedback and answer questions about feature requests.
Even among companies that claim to be committed to transparency, product roadmaps have generally been shrouded in secrecy - the result of a fear of backing out on commitments or missing release dates.
The reality is that companies that share their roadmaps are able to set practical expectations with their customers, communicate priorities and the future of their products clearly and retain their strongest customers.

Easy Steps of Product Roadmap for Business Growth__Mayank Ranjan
A product development roadmap is a strategic and dynamic document (that is, easy to follow and flexible to edit kind of roadmap) that guides the development plan for your product.
Hence, a product roadmap for the mobile app development serves various functions –
Facilitating work on a product internally – A mobile app development roadmap is like a bridge between the inspiration of building an app and desired business goals.
Helps in streamlining and establishing effective communication with external stakeholders.
A product roadmap easily relates to all investors, contractors, and end-users.
It allows you to have info on changes and advances of the product in line with market needs. `
A comprehensive app development helps you prioritize dedicated development units and defined deadlines.
A clearly and accurately compiled product development roadmap is necessary for the navigation of the product development process by enabling you to focus on short, medium, and long-term goals, what features of the app should be in priority, and how to go around managing stakeholders’ expectations.

It's a process where they discover the product through constantly creating new iterations. A lot of companies will do six or seven prototypes of a product, because each one takes time and money. Apple will do a hundred -- that's how many they did of the Macbook. Steve Jobs doesn't wake up one morning and there's a vision of an iPhone floating in front of his face.
