Who We Are
 Been providing business consulting and business coaching to Canadian
owner-operated businesses since January 2010.
 Our 2 partners spent 20+ years in business where they held senior
management and executive roles in the hi-tech industry.
 We started the firm with owner-operated businesses and found this was
a market underserved.
 We partner with others and have affiliations with other professionals
that offer complimentary services.
 Our focus is more on strategic coaching and consulting, but we will
perform tactical consulting for those that are already an existing client.

the hi-tech , business services, and manufacturing sectors in management or executive

Our Process For Bringing Clients On Board
 We will set-up a 30 minute consultation with a
potential client to determine their requirements.
 Once we understand your requirements, we will
provide you with a detailed proposal that will
also include our standard consulting/coaching
contract.
 Once digitally signed we will provide a
countersigned copy of proposal and contract to
the client.
 For consulting engagements, there is a 25%
down payment before we start, for coaching
engagement, the first payment for the first
month of coaching is required.

Business Coaching Overview
 All of our business coaching are structured engagements performed online in
2-hour increment sessions.
 We offer custom coaching as well as coaching engagements that have a
particular focus and a set of standard sessions.
 Coaching is paid on a monthly basis and prices differ based on the
engagement.
 We will only accept coaching clients who we speak to in advance to make sure
they are committed to the process and schedule.
 All coaching is based on our methodology, where we perform up front analysis,
have defined sessions, homework, and most engagements have a follow-up
session to ensure clients are on the right track in implementing.
 We provide ongoing support throughout the engagement via email.

Strategy Services
 Our strategy services are about defining where you
want the business to go not necessarily how you are
going to get there which is accomplished through
planning services. Whether you need a full strategic
plan or just an area of your business, the process is
the same.
 Our strategy services are provided through on-site
facilitation.
 We will ask for your financials and have you take our
business or marketing & sales assessment prior to the
onsite visit where we will go through our processes
and define what has to be done to meet your goals.
 After the facilitation, your facilitator will provide you
with the deliverables for the specific engagement.

Strategy Process
 Future State - Defining your go forward business as well as personal goals of what you want your
business or specific areas of your business to look like in the next 3 to 5 years.
 Current State - Before you determine where you want to be, it is important to understand where you
are today and to document it.
 Gap Analysis - Before you can move into your planning you need to understand the gap between your
current and future state. We call this creating the "Change Agenda".
 Strategy Map - Initiatives that you need to undertake to close the gap using the following perspectives:
financial, customer, internal, and learning and growth.
 Balanced Scorecard - Looking at the metrics that you are going to apply to your business to ensure
that your strategy (defined in your Strategy Map) gets implemented. This includes lead indicators and
lag indicators, processes, people, and technology.
 Budgeting - Ensuring that you have the funds allocated to achieve your overall objectives. This needs to
include revenue forecasts, cost of goods sold, operating expenses, capital expenses, and strategic
expenses.
 Tracking and Monitoring - Knowing what you are going to measure, how you are going to measure,
the frequency of measurement, who is accountable for the results, and how the outcomes are fed back
into the business.

 Our planning services are focused on helping
business owners determine whether their
business or business case is viable as well as
developing plans for financing or investing.
 We find in many cases a start-up can obtain
financing with a feasibility study in the place
of a full business plan. This is very
dependent on the lender and the amount of
financing/investing required.
 Included in our service are introductions to
lenders and investors and if needed speak to
the lenders/investors on client’s behalf if
needed after the completion of the plan.
Planning Process
 Questionnaires are provided to client to gather the necessary information
about their particular business
 We provide spreadsheets and work on the revenue, costs, expenses built based
on market analysis, products, pricing, seasonality and other assumptions that
affect your business along with what financing is required and outline what it
will be used for.
 We then set up an online meeting with the client to verify and answer any
questions that are outstanding.
 The financials and the business plan are prepared and are provided to the
client.
 A follow-up meeting is set-up to review the plan and answer questions.
 If the business owner needs introductions to lenders/investors or requires our
partner who is a CPA to speak with a lender on their behalf, this can be
arranged.

• Used by businesses, lenders, and investors to
determine if a project, business, or idea makes
sense from an economic perspective.
• The assumption is the client has an
understanding of their industry, market that they

investment. We only do plans for financing.
• The business plan documents every area of
your business and verifies how the business will
meet their financial plan. If a lender/investor
cannot validate your numbers from the plan,
you will not receive the financing required.

 Marketing & Sales Assessment
• A marketing and sales assessment will evaluation your
marketing and sales functions within your business

why you are not receiving the revenue or return on
investment you expect.
 Financial Review
• A financial will review will look at your current financials
in order to determine what you need to do within your
business to meet your short and long term financial
objectives. This is performed by our partner who is a
CPA.

• A business performance assessment is for
business who are not sure why their business is
not performing at the level it should be. We look
at 8 areas and look at how your business is
performing based on industry best practices.

Assessment Process
 All assessments start with questionnaires to collect information about
your business or area or function of the business which is relevant to the
particular assessment.
 Additional information is gathered with interviewing the owner and the
staff to confirm an understanding for the information provided.
 Proper analysis is performed based on best practices.
 Recommendations for improvement are provided in a report which will
be reviewed with the business owner either in person or via an online
conference.

Advisory Services
 Advisory Services are similar to business
coaching but without the structure that
coaching offers.
 They are provided over the phone or
online and are ad-hoc in nature, so there
is no planning on the part of the advisor.
 The session is for those clients who are
just looking for advice and guidance and
do not want to invest in developing the
skills through structured coaching.

Advisory Service Offerings
 Ad-Hoc Advisory Services
• This is a two-hour session that the client
will book at their convenience through our
appointment booking application.
• They will pay in advance and set the time
and date for the session and provide the
advisor with some general information
about what they would like to discuss
during the 2-hour online session.

Advisory Services Process
 A 2-hour session booked through our online appointment (min 72 hours in
advance) by the client.
 The client will complete a questionnaire we send prior to the session to
understand what you would like to discuss during your 2-hour session.
Appointment will have to be rescheduled if not received 24 hours in advance of
the scheduled session.
 Session is paid at the time of booking and scheduled through our only booking
system.
 All Sessions are held online through Zoom, where you will be provided with a
link for an online session after your appointment is booked.
 There is no follow-up or further support that you are provided with business
coaching.

Our Process For Bringing Clients On Board  We will set-up a 30 minute consultation with a potential client to determine their requirements.  Once we understand your requirements, we will provide you with a detailed proposal that will also include our standard consulting/coaching contract.  Once digitally signed we will provide a countersigned copy of proposal and contract to the client.  For consulting engagements, there is a 25% down payment before we start, for coaching engagement, the first payment for the first month of coaching is required. ©COPYRIGHT RK FISCHER & ASSOCIATES, 2010-2019 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Business Coaching Overview  All of our business coaching are structured engagements performed online in 2-hour increment sessions.  We offer custom coaching as well as coaching engagements that have a particular focus and a set of standard sessions.  Coaching is paid on a monthly basis and prices differ based on the engagement.  We will only accept coaching clients who we speak to in advance to make sure they are committed to the process and schedule.  All coaching is based on our methodology, where we perform up front analysis, have defined sessions, homework, and most engagements have a follow-up session to ensure clients are on the right track in implementing.  We provide ongoing support throughout the engagement via email. ©COPYRIGHT RK FISCHER & ASSOCIATES, 2010-2019 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

  • 20. Strategy Services  Our strategy services are about defining where you want the business to go not necessarily how you are going to get there which is accomplished through planning services. Strategy Process  Future State - Defining your go forward business as well as personal goals of what you want your business or specific areas of your business to look like in the next 3 to 5 years.  Current State - Before you determine where you want to be, it is important to understand where you are today and to document it.  Gap Analysis - Before you can move into your planning you need to understand the gap between your current and future state. We call this creating the "Change Agenda".  Strategy Map - Initiatives that you need to undertake to close the gap using the following perspectives: financial, customer, internal, and learning and growth.  Balanced Scorecard - Looking at the metrics that you are going to apply to your business to ensure that your strategy (defined in your Strategy Map) gets implemented. This includes lead indicators and lag indicators, processes, people, and technology.  Budgeting - Ensuring that you have the funds allocated to achieve your overall objectives. Planning Services ©COPYRIGHT RK FISCHER & ASSOCIATES, 2010-2019 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED  Our planning services are focused on helping business owners determine whether their business or business case is viable as well as developing plans for financing or investing.  We find in many cases a start-up can obtain financing with a feasibility study in the place of a full business plan. This is very dependent on the lender and the amount of financing/investing required.  Included in our service are introductions to lenders and investors and if needed speak to the lenders/investors on client’s behalf if needed after the completion of the plan.

Planning Process  Questionnaires are provided to client to gather the necessary information about their particular business  We provide spreadsheets and work on the revenue, costs, expenses built based on market analysis, products, pricing, seasonality and other assumptions that affect your business along with what financing is required and outline what it will be used for.  We then set up an online meeting with the client to verify and answer any questions that are outstanding.  The financials and the business plan are prepared and are provided to the client.  A follow-up meeting is set-up to review the plan and answer questions.  If the business owner needs introductions to lenders/investors or requires our partner who is a CPA to speak with a lender on their behalf, this can be arranged. ©COPYRIGHT RK FISCHER & ASSOCIATES, 2010-2019 ALL RIGHTS RESERVED

Advisory Services Process  A 2-hour session booked through our online appointment (min 72 hours in advance) by the client.  The client will complete a questionnaire we send prior to the session to understand what you would like to discuss during your 2-hour session.
