 Our planning services are focused on helping business
owners determine whether their business or business
case is viable as well as developing plans for financing or
investing.
 We find in many cases a start-up can obtain financing
with a feasibility study in the place of a full business plan.
This is very dependent on the lender and the amount of
financing/investing required.
 Included in our service are introductions to lenders and
investors and if needed speak to the lenders/investors on
client’s behalf if needed after the completion of the plan.

Business Plans
 Used by lenders, and investors to determine if a
project or business is viable for lending or
investment. We only do plans for financing.
 The business plan documents every area of your
business and verifies how the business will meet
their financial plan. If a lender/investor cannot
validate your numbers from the plan, you will not
receive the financing required.
 Includes a 5 Year Proforma Financial Model prepared
by our partner that is a CPA.

What is a Business Plan for Financing?
 A business plan for financing is not a writing exercise,
it is a plan that is developed by someone with
business and financial experience who understands
the requirements of a lender or investor and must:
• The plan must be able to support the financials
• There must the ability to prove to the lender or investor they
will be able to get their money back plus interest usually within
5 years
• The plan will convey that you have assessed all the risks for
your business and are able to articulate a plan to minimize the
risks.

Our Approach
 Though this is a consulting engagement with an end deliverable, we also
coach the business owner throughout the process.
 If the business owner has not thought through their business, we can
provide other services to help them fully develop their business to a point a
feasibility study or business plan can be developed.
 We do not leave after the plan is delivered. We will make introductions to
lenders and investors and our partner who is a CPA will speak to the
lender/investor on behalf of the client to answer questions if required. Our
goal is for the client to obtain the required financing.
 After years of working with lenders and investors, we have the knowledge
and experience to understand whether the business will be able to obtain
financing / investment based on the merits of the business.
• We cannot commit that a plan will be approved, as the credit worthiness of
the owner/business also play a role in the approval process, as well as the
risk the lender/investor might see in that industry.

Planning Process
 Questionnaires are provided to client to gather the necessary information about
their particular business
 We provide spreadsheets and work on the revenue, costs, expenses built based on
market analysis, products, pricing, seasonality and other assumptions that affect
your business along with what financing is required and outline what it will be used
for.
 We then set up an online meeting with the client to verify and answer any
questions that are outstanding.
 The financials and the business plan are prepared and are provided to the client.
 A follow-up meeting is set-up to review the plan and answer questions.
 If the business owner needs introductions to lenders/investors or requires our
partner who is a CPA to speak with a lender on their behalf, this can be arranged.

Our Differentiators – Financial Model
 We develop a multi-page Excel financial model for each plan we create.
• For existing businesses we take the last 2-3 years of financials as well we develop 5 years of
proforma financials.
• The final statements are then copied into the plan, but the client and the lender/investor is
provided with the sheet.
 The sheets include:
• Detailed information on what the lending will be used for
• Detailed assumption sheet using market analysis, products/services, pricing to develop a
revenue model that coincides with the plan
• Expense sheets showing detail costs for the business monthly and annually
• Other relevant financial information available
 A 5-year proforma is then developed by our Partner who is a CPA which includes
income statement, balance sheet, and cash flow.
 This model provides clarity to lender/investor how the financials were obtained and
support the plan.
 We also develop ratios that lenders/investors use to make decisions on viability.
