This document outlines classroom procedures and expectations for students. It provides information that should be included in student info cards, such as name, parent contact details, birthday and transportation. It also describes routines for entering the classroom, what to do if materials are needed, seating arrangements, voice levels used and dismissal at the end of class. Students are expected to be ready to learn, focus on themselves and enjoy reading.

2. INFO CARDS
• Name
• Parent/Guardian Name and Telephone number
• Birthday
• Bus Number/ or means of transportation
• Favorite Book

4. ENTERING THE CLASSROOM
• Enter quietly, we know you’re here, it’s not a
concert
• Get your breakfast and begin eating , if you
don’t want breakfast begin your bell-ringer
• Once breakfast is over instruction begins
• There should be no backpacks or large
handbags in class
• If you are tardy, just come in quietly and begin
working

5. IF YOU NEED MATERIALS…..
• Pencils, Pens, and Paper will be available, but if
this is needed on a consistent basis you will
have points deducted from your grade.
• Ask a neighbor, but don’t disrupt the class

6. SEATING
• At the beginning of the year no seats are
assigned
• Once the seats are assigned this is not up for
discussion!!

7. VOICE LEVELS
• 1- whisper
• 2- quiet voice
• 3- classroom voice
• 4- heard across the room

8. IN 5……
When I raise my hand , you have five seconds to
simmer down, at this point you will be on a level
0.

9. END OF CLASS
• I dismiss you not the bell
• We will pack up five minutes before class is
over
• You will leave class orderly and quietly

10. EXPECTATIONS
• Ready to learn
• Focus on you
• Learning will take place
• Enjoy reading
