ROUTINES AND PROCEDURES
ENTERING THE CLASSROOM
• Enter quietly, we know you’re here, it’s not a
concert
• Get your breakfast and begin eating , if you
don’t want breakfast begin your bell-ringer
• Once breakfast is over instruction begins
• There should be no backpacks or large
handbags in class
• If you are tardy, just come in quietly and begin
working
IF YOU NEED MATERIALS…..
• Pencils, Pens, and Paper will be available, but if
this is needed on a consistent basis you will
have points deducted from your grade.
• Ask a neighbor, but don’t disrupt the class
SEATING
• At the beginning of the year no seats are
assigned
• Once the seats are assigned this is not up for
discussion!!
VOICE LEVELS
• 1- whisper
• 2- quiet voice
• 3- classroom voice
• 4- heard across the room
IN 5……
When I raise my hand , you have five seconds to
simmer down, at this point you will be on a level
0.
END OF CLASS
• I dismiss you not the bell
• We will pack up five minutes before class is
over
• You will leave class orderly and quietly
EXPECTATIONS
• Ready to learn
• Focus on you
• Learning will take place
• Enjoy reading
