ABOUT ME
I am enthusiastic, positive, motived and love to
be involved. My career mission is to make great
contributions providing vision and leadership in
Communications.
My 22 years of professional communications,
multimedia and graphic design experience includes
extensive understanding of marketing, graphic
design, media relations, and multimedia principles and
practices. As well, I’ve developed expertise in project
management, training, supervision and leadership.
I am a graduate from West Virginia University and hold
two bachelor degrees in both Advertising and Graphic
Design. Through my education and work with WVU
Student Graphic Design studio, I’ve obtained advanced
knowledge of Multimedia production in areas of visual,
web, interaction and information design.
Currently, I served as the Creative Services
Leader (Temporary) for WVU Extension Service
Communications unit, providing vision and leadership
by directing the designers’ visual layouts, incorporating
brand and marketing strategies that promote WVU
Extension Service’s image, and using WVU brand
and trademark standards through direct contact with
agents, specialists and staff in our 55 county offices.
For the past 9 years I have worked with the WVU
Extension Service as Senior Graphic Designer, managing
production timelines, collaborating with various vendors
to ensure budget and printing success, as well as
creating and editing educational materials, newsletters,
brochures, advertisements, posters, fact sheets,
presentations, exhibits and promotional items designed
to exceed client expectations.
My husband, Keith and I, both work for WVU and
thoroughly enjoy living and working in Morgantown,
WV. Together we raise our beautiful, bright and
sometimes silly daughter, Charlotte, who just turn
4 years old.

Supervise design team, providing vision and leadership. Assign projects and manage workload of each designer.
Direct designers’ execution of all creative efforts to ensure they are on strategy, on schedule, and are in
compliance with WVU and Extension Service branding standards. Consult and interact with clients, including
agents, specialists and staff in 55 county offices regarding project development, marketing plans, creative
direction, budget limits, timelines and maintaining communication to meet client satisfaction and communication
objectives. Serve as contact for Trademark requests and ensure the adherence to WVU’s guidelines for trademark
and licensing policies. Collaborate with communication team including writers, designers, web technologists
and publications specialist to generate marketing strategies and maintain the strategic calendar. Effectively
communicate ideas and strategies through written and oral presentations. Maintain internal and external
professional relationships with clients and printing vendors to assure the ongoing Communication’s Team
reputation for great service and specialized expertise.
2006-Present WVU Extension Service Communications– ● Senior Graphic Designer
Create, develop, and manage visual layouts incorporating branding and marketing strategies that promote
WVU Extension Service’s image, using WVU branding standards. Key member of the creative services team
serving the administration, program units and agents in 55 county offices. Practice professional design principles
in each project ensuring its visual message reflects its objectives and purpose successfully. Manage production
deadlines. Collaborate with various printing vendors to ensure budget and printing success. Assemble and
produce professional quality exhibits and displays. Design educational curriculum, booklets, newsletters,
brochures, advertisements, posters, fact sheets, maps, signs, training materials, exhibits, and promotional
items. Serves as a member of the events team, traveling to statewide events.
2005-2006 WVU Arts & Entertainment ● Graphic Design Intern
Designed and maintained visual layouts for Arts & Entertainment events and student affairs programs.
Supported marketing in the production of print, web and video promotional materials and publications.
Designed posters, flyers, brochures, postcards, schedules, newsletters, order forms, newspaper ads and web
ads. Produced web content including Flash banners and ads with sound. Designed and edited promotional
video presentations. Designed cover for the 2006-2007 Art Series brochure. Volunteered as usher and security

Tumbling Center including logo, business cards, letterhead, and brochure. Designed and managed Cheerz’s
business web site. Designed signage and a three panel tabletop display for Morgantown’s WV Women Work
program, including taking photography. Designed commemorative poster and bookmarks for WVU Libraries’
WV History Online Collection. Design team member for WV Humanities’ WV Born of Rebellion traveling history

1995-1997 Time Warner Cable Advertising ● Advertising Coordinator and Production
Filmed and edited video for hundreds of local television commercials to meet client satisfaction and maintain television
broadcast quality. Wrote advertising copy and public service announcements. Managed and planned graphic
advertising for local cable community channel. Analyzed weekly sales contracts and coordinated programming of
television commercial breaks. Involved in all aspects of the buying and selling of ad space and time. Performed
numerous television commercial voiceovers. Trained new employees and supervised interns.
