THE REVISED PITCH
By Ciaran, Harry, Jack, Jake
PLOT/STORYLINE
• Opens with 2 characters eating/cooking breakfast around a campfire.
• Talking about good times they had before the apocalypse maybe sharing
photos ect.
• Hear noise/cracking in bushes behind them
• Both characters immediately go to investigate and cant see anything
• All of a sudden Character 3 jumps out from the bushes and kills a zombie
that was sneaking up behind the other 2
• Character 3 shows the others what he managed to scavenge
• After a discussion, they then decide this area is no longer safe as they start to
see some zombies in the distance and start to pack up to leave.
INSPIRATIONAL FILM: ZOMBIELAND
We aim to have similar shots to
these to emphasise the use of
weapons as it will clearly show
their lives are in danger.
We also want to have a strong
emphasis on zombies and
gore to make it clear that it is
a zombie film and will
therefore be exciting
We Think having the text
layered as if it were part of the
scene also is quiet effective as
it looks very professional
INSPIRATIONAL FILM: THE WALKING DEAD
These two shots will help
create a sense of unease as it
will show these locations are
abandoned due to something
going wrong
We want to either use
flashbacks or photos to create
narrative enigmas about the
characters in our OTS when
they are talking about their
pasts
We want our OTS to be set in
an isolated area as it makes it
seem like the characters are
miles away from any help
INSPIRATIONAL FILM: I AM LEGEND
These shots help show that the
protagonist is now used to the
environment he has to live in
as he seems very relaxed in
the close ups shown.
Again, these abandoned
scenes create a sense of
unease as this would normally
be a busy area but there is no-
one there.
Another set of shots to help
emphasise the protagonist is in
danger and therefore need
guns to protect himself
OUR USP
• We will be showing how our characters have adapted to their new lives in
the apocalypse by jumping straight into the middle of the apocalypse and
putting their lives at risk.
• We won't introduce much about the 3rd character, who will therefore be the
cause of many narrative enigmas to hook the audience.
